This park has three separate safe spaces for dogs to run, based on size and lots of other areas for leashed adventures. It's surrounded by mountains, with basket ball courts, soccer field, playgrounds, a variety of open spaces and pathways dappled in nature. Also lots of cute lizards flowering desert plants, water picnic tables and public restrooms Dog-friendliness: Dog park is not overcrowded and there's plenty other areas and walking paths for leashed dogs that need space Picnic area: Lots but I haven't explored the whole park is huge and hugs the river side pathway
The place is nice. Kids love playing water and the perfect time to make a picnic. Took the kids this summer various times, and they had a blast. It's maintained clean and neat. There's a lot of perridogs in the area fun to explore. The only down side was the homeless people around and in the splash pad. Don't get me wrong, they're welcome, but they would bathe in there with clothes on and they would bring their pets in, which is not allowed. Made others feel uncomfortable. But other that it was good.
My daughter loves the splashpad and the playground. I had her second birthday party at this park and my only complaint is that the park is so popular I could only reserve a ramada that was super far away from the splash pad. If you want to reserve a ramada during summer, I recommend you reserve several months ahead of time! The ramada I was able to reserve was close to the memorial garden. The Cactus sculpture there is beautiful and peaceful. All of the sculptures and artwork are whimsical and cute. It is definitely worth a trip! There is so much to do at this park! Playground: The large playground structure is really cool and well maintained. I really love the smaller play structure because my 2 year old can safely climb on it independently. It is just the right size for smaller kids under 5. There is lots of shade and seating for supervising adults nearby. Restrooms: The restrooms are a little dark inside, but they are generally clean and well maintained. There are only two stalls in the ladies room, but one of them is handicap accessible and has a changing table.
Had a Birthday party for my granddaughter at around 1030 am. Already getting hot, flies everywhere, mosquitoes, lots of black crows and prairie dogs. Grass was very green. Sidewalks throughout as well. Splash park could be a little bigger, lots of kids with some inattentive parents. A couple of fields that could be a soccer and baseball fields. Beautiful view of mountains! Kids had a blast. Nice park even when the weather is cooler to have a picnic. Playground: Nice green grass. Has large jungle gym type play area Restrooms: Not pretty, smelled, may have been sprayed with a hose because floor was all wet. I didn't use them. But took my grand-daughter and had to tell her to try and not touch too much. Picnic area: There are several tables spread around, but absolutely could use more. Some are under ramada's, but only noticed two ramada's.
Brandi Fenton is a beautiful park and very peaceful. It's right off of the bicycle loop and has a fun splash pad. There are restrooms right by the play ground and splash pad. The parking lots are not very close so be prepared to walk through a soccer field on either side. They have plenty of space for picnics in the grass or covered table area's.
Wonderful place to walk. They have a separate dog park for small dogs. I love that. Dog-friendliness: Seperate dog parks for large and small dogs. What a great idea.
Fun place to visit!! A ton of shade. Ramadas and strategically placed trees make for an enjoyable visit. A note to park maintenance and planners the slide on the south of the big kid playground could use adjustables on the shade structure or additional structures. Also. The flooring could use some revamping as our harsh sun without shade take it's toll.
We have been going here since my daughter was two, she's four now and still loves the playground. They have a nice splash pad that opens around April, two jungle gyms, ramadas, soccer fields and covered basketball courts. Restrooms are clean. The people here are friendly and if you have toddlers there are always other kids for them to play with. It's also nice that the play areas are shaded from the sun.
Children love the splash pad. Best idea ever. We have an autistic grandson and he loves the water. It was his 10th birthday.
I was visiting from another city and decided to bring my dog here to see grass once again. He was very appreciative of the maintained grassy, shady areas to lay in and relax. Many families were using the splash park, which looked like fun on a hot summer day. Playground: The playground area is a splash pad that is family friendly. Restrooms: There are brick and mortar restroom buildings with water fountains. Dog-friendliness: I didn't see a dog park here, but was welcomed by people and other dog owners using the grassy play fields.
