World Wide Technology Soccer Park

Description

World Wide Technology Soccer Park, formerly known as St. Louis Soccer Park and Anheuser-Busch Center, is a soccer complex which includes four soccer-specific stadiums, with the main field, Toyota Stadium, holding 5,500 seats. Located in Fenton, Missouri, a suburb southwest of downtown St. Louis, it is operated by St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club whose 275 teams and 3,600 players use it for both practice and games. It is also the home field for Webster University's men's and women's soccer teams as well as Saint Louis FC. The complex has five playing fields—three turf and two grass—and one main exhibition turf field, most of which are lighted. The fields are primarily used for soccer but also host field hockey and lacrosse teams. In addition to the playing surfaces, the complex features offices, home and away locker rooms, a fan shop, a banquet hall, a veranda overlooking the main field, two concession stands, a press box, and a private office.HistoryOpening & Anheuser-BuschThe St. Louis Soccer Park opened in 1982 with funding from Anheuser-Busch who outright purchased it in 1985 and renamed it the Anheuser-Busch Center. During the Anheuser-Busch ownership, the main exhibition field, now known as Toyota Stadium due to sponsorship reasons, was opened and capable of seating 5,500 spectators, for hosting international, collegiate and youth soccer competitions.

Great place. Bathrooms are a little outdated and the facility needs more trash cans outside. Trash was overflowing and laying everywhere.
One of the best soccer facilities in the Stl Area. Bleachers abound on all fields and lighting is TV compatible.
The facilities and staff are top notch. I had the pleasure of sitting behind the Tampa Bay Rowdies bench today and had a great time! I only started to get a little uncomfortable when fans behind me were hurling insults at the visiting squad. I'm all for cheering and even playful banter, but F-bombs and insults to a coach and his nationality are a bit excessive. All-in-all, a beautiful day for soccer and a solid match to boot!
We attended a Saint Louis FC game there. The game was great. The venue wasn't. It was our first time attending an STL FC game and our first time in the stadium since the 90s. It reeked strongly of urine in multiple places: the parking lot, walking between the two sets of stands, and at our seats. The woman who took our parking money just continued gossiping with her coworker instead of greeting customers, and then the woman at the security check at the gate was really rude. It was raining when we left the house, so we brought an umbrella. When we got to the gate with the small umbrella, she says loudly and rudely so everyone can hear her yelling at us, "I DON'T KNOW WHY EVERYONE IS BRINGING UMBRELLAS IN!! THEY'RE NOT ALLOWED!" I said, "because it was raining," and ran it back to the car. While I was gone, my father said that people bring them because they don't know not to. Her reply was also rude: "Well it's on the website." Well, I had checked the FAQ page for the soccer park on the STL FC website, and it isn't on the FAQ page. I checked that page 2 times for questions I had about the stadium and neither one was on there, including what may or may not be brought into the stadium, so maybe they should think about updating both their website and their gate employees. Or post a sign at the parking entrance or something. Meanwhile, when I had returned from putting the umbrella back in the car, the gate woman had just allowed a woman to enter with TWO umbrellas sticking out of her backpack immediately in front of us...
Great stadium and awesome watching STL FC play. Tickets are reasonable. Beer prices are comparable to other venues.
Parking is a majior problem. Two restrooms for the size of the complex is ridiculous.
What an incredible soccer facility! I loved watching my grandson playing under the lights. It was a bit odd that the teens watching over the games did not enforce any soccer rules. There must be a reason for that that I am unaware of, but I hope the reason doesn't establish bad habits early on. No off sides, no positions etc.
Very cool place to watch & play soccer!
Great atmosphere, nice park, and won't break the bank
I'm not a soccer person...if you are in the mood to kick and chase a ball that you will have nightmares about....this is the place to be
