ADA access very limited. Visited with someone in wheelchair. Most paths are gravel and wheels would get stuck and not a smooth ride. Steep hill from one approach. Street through middle of park people drive pretty fast. Nice space to see a few birds and we did see an alligator. There is a pedestrian connection to the river with partial views over river. Also connects to the Augusta Greenway.
Nice outdoor area for a short hike around the ponds, next to the Greeneway in North Augusta where we bike often 13 miles round trip. Many lotus flowers in the ponds. We saw 2 gators, a small 3-4 ft and a large 7-8 ft but that one was too far away. Many turtles basking on logs in water. One lady was taking photos of green frogs on the iris flowers - very cool she shared info, otherwise we would have not noticed.
Surprised is an understatement when I visited Brick Pond Park this morning. I heard locals talking about it beauty and tranquility this close to town. Its a prime example of nature and man living side by side. The walking and bike paths a maintained year around it appears. You can see turtles and gators and a number of birds. Its simply breathtaking. Many place to sit and observe nature or pack a lunch and make a day of it. I can not wait to show my children. This place will make you want to relocate to North Augsta, South Carolina as I have. Highly recommend. Also, has a butterfly garden I have not yet visited. Stay tuned.
It's a really nice relaxing place to unwind your thoughts. They have a trail that you can ride your bike, run or walk. There's places to sit to enjoy the view. You can not feed the wild life if caught there is a hefty fine. If you look around you will definitely see nature at it's calm. Just be cautious of the alligators that may slide by.
Been over here a while . Been looking for gators for a wild a while in America. Came here the day of flying out and see this !!!! Be warned there we'll camouflaged but we'll worth a visit . Don't go when it's to hot !
This was Our 1st time here, and it was wonderful! We absolutely loved it! Everything was so nice, no trash and well maintained trails. All the wild life was so great, we saw 4 Deer, squirrels and so many birds. There is so much to see and do no way we could see it All in one day. We will definitely be back soon!
Hidden oasis within the quasi urban cityscape of North Augusta, where one could be eaten alive by dinosaurs. Legit, they posted warning signs. Please keep in mind this is a family oriented area, no heavy petting allowed. No signs are posted for this but the authorities have been known to be in forcing the aforementioned...
Great place for baby alligators, birds, and nature photos!
Gorgeous walk between several ponds at Brick Pond Park .. saw lots of lily pads, an alligator, several deer, and a beautiful sunset
Wow, I was very surprised. Beautiful! So much wildlife! Didn't get to see a gator, but asked several others if they've seen any alligators today and most said yes. All the people I met were very diverse and very friendly also. There's a little bit of trash, but not much considering that it's right next to the city and has high traffic. Will be back!
