Spent less than an hour They had a clip about the artist playing before you head into the huge white gallery. My wife and I decided to walk past the people and go to the gallery first! Lovely photos! We went back and watched the clip afterward. The museum is Perfect for taking pictures of your own! It was squeaky clean with a tiny gift shop. I had hoped for a larger gift shop! The museum wasn’t crowded at all! go check it out Should display new artists often But I don't know their schedule for that
Today was my first time visiting The Bronx Museum of the Arts. Beautifully designed and structured. It has a modern appeal with stone and glass combined to create the spaces that host works of art from artists then and now. The exhibit pays homage to the 80’s. From boom boxes to graffiti, this exhibit exudes an era that has not been forgotten and to some extent still lives on through other works of art.
A free nice small museum that has exhibits reflecting the life of minorities in NYC, primarily through the lenses of Jamel Shabazz. Plan to spend about an hour at least to capture the pictures across 5 decades. The photos were amazing, especially the ones reflecting the childhood innocence and family. There is also a exhibit region showing different exhibits each month. When we went it was Medicina me Amor showcasing life in the Dominican republic.
This was a Saturday adventure for my daughter and I to Family Day at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Being first timers we did not know what expect but it was a great experience and will visit again.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree

It’s low key the place to be for exhibits, all sorts of entertainment & workshops, too. Read my ‘poetry’ there for the first time in public, a few months ago. Very welcoming & warm atmosphere where you feel like a friend coming to visit. Get on their mailing list, you won’t regret it.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree

Had an absolutely fantastic time here and the unassuming small sized lobby had a ton of hidden treasures as the many interconnecting rooms are hidden from view until you explore the small space. Not a massive museum but it's easy to spend an hour or two here if you're interested in modern art. Had a great time on a rainy day and it's extremely easy to reach by public transportation. Just be careful of some of the art pieces as one of them gave me a good scare since it dropped something overhead while I was underneath and was on a timer. Just pay attention to the large artworks as a lot of them have cool movement or mechanics that make them so unique. World class facility and unbeatable at the price of admission which is free!
This museum is a pearl. It’s inside space lets you stroll around with ease and carefree to stare at the artwork. The intervened vintage quilts exhibited are a good reason to visit it.
