Description
Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary is a 27-acre wild urban park with native oak savannah, prairie, and wetland habitats. A short 5-minute walk from downtown St. Paul, the sanctuary is home to the sacred Dakota Wakan Tipi cave, bordered by white sandstone bluffs, and has interpretive signage about Dakota history, previous industrial uses, and the restoration of the site.
