It doesn't seem that anybody who works here cares about making a quality product. The line is often filthy. Employees wash their hands with gloves on, then grab bagels with their wet gloves, making them soggy. If you order it toasted, more often than not, it will be burnt. I have also received bagels that are smashed flat with hand prints in them. Does anybody who works here care that the products they make are going to be eaten? I had only started going here for bagels recently because the location is convenient. However, they have convinced me not to come back.
Came here on a Saturday at 9am. Totally don’t mind waiting, and understand breakfast places are busy on Saturday mornings. However, this place was not as busy as I have seen it before and decided to lock the doors and other customers had to come to tell us they “weren’t taking any more customers”. We had already made a curbside order on our way and paid. We called to ask how we could get our order and were told we had to come in again no issue, we only did curbside for the convenience. I had already tried to come in but they locked the doors so I’m not sure how they expected that to work. Overall a really negative experience, people will understand if there are many customers that their wait will be longer, I’m not sure how a company plans to make money if they have to close the doors because they have 10 customers waiting. Hope for their sake and their customers they figure out how to operate more efficiently.
Place never opens when it should, I've been a weekly customer for a long time, this location is no longer reliable and has lost my business forever. There's been several weeks lately were they've been out of stock on popular bagel types.
Geewhiz this is what happened to my aunt Mary. She was served a wet bagel after waiting in line 30 minutes because that’s what a loyal customer she is. She didn’t think to much about it. She was starving so she took a couple of bites and stopped because the bagel was actually soaked. About 6 hours later she started puking her brains out. She had a guest staying with her at her place. Needless to say that ruined the visit. Now here we are 4 days later and she’s STILL having stomach problems. Not only did it ruin her visit it’s sucked up 4 days of her life causing her discomfort. Here’s the kicker…..they reached out to her and offered her a refund for her bagel. WHAT AN INSULT!! This is repulsive!!! She should have been compensated for time missed from work. They could have at least offered her $100 gift card or something. Nothing can really make up for it. Her guest was only here 2 days so that’s a flop and the time from work thank goodness she had some sick leave. This is how they treat their customers!!!! Such a disgrace!!!
The actual product here is pretty good as far as Bagels in the cities go. The real issue with this location is the service. We usually go on the weekends and service is exceptionally slow most of the time. Today the person running the register overcharged us by 30% and when asked why a baker's dozen bagels cost way more than the menu price said "the menu lied"
Came in here odered two breakfast sandwiches. One had a sausage wasn’t what I ordered. The sandwich were really dry no type of cream cheese on it. The meat was very cold as well. We asked to put cream cheese on it. Did not acknowledge us our request at all. Was too busy flirting with a customer. Very disappointing place. Please skip this place. Maple Grove has best ones go there.
Came in on New Years a little hungover with 2 other people. They gave us to the slowest worker there. A guy who was wearing headphones, so he couldn’t hear us. He told us we looked “out of it” and was incredibly rude. So what that we are out of it, it’s new years. We drank last night and now want to spend money at your establishment to feel better. He didn’t listen to us and screwed up several of our bagels. My girlfriend, who was with us, was so uncomfortable with the experience. I live in the area, so next time I see him I will speak up.
A restaurant in complete disrepair and neglect by whoever owns it. Employee turn over is out of control. The employees that are left are shells of humans looking exhausted. There is always a line because there is no coordination or management or any attempt to get orders processed. Half the employees aimlessly sulk around ignoring customers. Or they’ll make bagels for themselves in front of a line of customers and then go eat them in the back office. Who ever is the “owner” that is replying to these 1-star comments - GO TO THE RESTAURANT- stop saying sorry and take responsibility!
Was a bit busy, but I would say sufficiently staffed. 3 toasted bagels with cream cheese took about 15 mins which is unacceptable. Prices are extremely high about $4.00 a piece, I about half that at Tim Hortons back home. Would not rush back, unless someone else was picking up the tab.
Order ahead of time with a pickup time. Got there, order wasn't done. Note there was barely a line when i got there Waited 30 mins just to only getting half my order. Thankfully I checked before leaving. Went back in for the missing items just to wait for another 10 mins. Never going back to this location.
