Buckhorn Island State Park

Took an impromptu hiking trip with flip flops in the rain! It was a blast we saw a red squirrel, a toad, egrets or some aquatic bird, a blue herring and siren head. The trails were pretty flooded which made it more fun. It is a beautiful hike.

I can't say enough about this park. A perfect distance to hike or run...in and out a total of 4 miles. It is between the Niagara river on one side and a wooded area on the other. Beautiful, quiet and at the end you are on a pier looking out at a distant view of Niagara falls.

Beautiful place all year round

It's nice. Wide walkway area. Leads to the water in some spots.

We love going here for a short walk/hike! Beautiful scenery! U get views of the water and greenery! U can even fish here!

Great views and a relaxing spot. Stop here on the way up or down from the falls and grab a few pictures. Good trails and access to Grand Island Bridge.

Absolutely beautiful. It allowed me to add photography to my list of artistic abilities.
