The Buddhist Student Association at FSU is a registered student organization at Florida State University. Our group approaches Buddhism from application standpoint focusing mainly on meditation methods and how to incorporate them into daily life.
The purpose of the BSA is to serve the Florida State University and the surrounding community by organizing Buddhism-related activities on or around the FSU campus. These events include such things as community service, meditation, study, practice, and education.
The BSA is be guided by the following principles:
Support the study and practice of all authentic Buddhist traditions,
Support education about Buddhism from both academic and spiritual perspectives,
Promote community service that shows Buddhist ideals in action,
Provide the community with appropriate information about upcoming Buddhism-related events and activities ,
Encourage exchange between different traditions, cultures, and faiths with tolerance and respect,
Help develop new generations of moral, wise and compassionate Buddhist leaders of society
