The Purpose of the Buffalo Police Reserves is
1. To Act as Volunteer Police Officers as directed by the Captain of the Precinct where the B.P.R. meets, the City of Buffalo Police Commissioner, and/or the Mayor of the City of Buffalo in maintaining law and order, and providing service to the City of Buffalo.
2. To promote citizenship and loyalty to the United States of America, the State of New York, and the City of Buffalo.
3. To promote training in the performance of police duties, and instruction in procedures, regulations, and ordinances, of the Buffalo Police Department, and the laws of the State of New York.
4. To Provide a non-partisan, non-denominational, non-discriminatory organization in order to promote spirit among its membership and community.
