This is my favorite retail store. The outdoorsy decorations give the place a cool vibe. Great resource for camping, fishing, hiking, boating, hunting and basically anything related to outdoor recreation. It's fun to just look around the store even when you don't need something.
A lot of fishing and outdoor apparel. It is pricey but they have a wide variety of inventory. I love thier in-house fishing lure brand. If you are a budget angler you should check them out! They are relatively cheap and pretty decent quality also the lures run true right out of the packaging with nice action no need for tuning! Happy trails and tight lines everybody!
Ordered same day pickup, a few hours later o was tired of waiting as they were quick in past. So I went up to store and found the item on shelf. Went and asked the front desk if they could do their magic on the computer and say the items ready for pickup and I can go. She said I had to cancel the order or wait for them to have picked it and make it ready. I said you mean to tell me you can’t go in the computer and say item picked up? Another gentleman stepped in and sent me to loading dock where they do the pickups and nobody was there for 20 minutes so I left. Been two days and still don’t have my item I ordered for same day pickup because I strongly believe the lady giving me attitude went back there and said screw me. This place is far from customer first service. Most the folks in here have no idea of the stuff they are selling especially the boat department and that’s pretty sad. Can’t even ask anybody questions on the products inside their store. Not much hope around this area!
We love coming here. The employees have been amazing every time we visited. Very helpful and friendly.
They have really gone downhill in recent years. Sometimes the inventory on the website does not match what is in the store. I've been in here and asked employees for help and was practically ignored. I'm in there today and some lady is trying to sell vacation packages? What? I find the item I came in for and heard an employee in the adjacent aisle randomly ask a customer if they want to sign up for the rewards program. What? This used to be a high end outdoors store but now it really reminds me of what Gander Mountain was like 10 years ago. Not a good sign.
Did a pick-up. Website doesn't give hours for pick-up so there was no one in the area. Once someone came, she had to find my product. She was helpful and helped load into my car.
Not very welcoming when you come in and nobody around asking if you need help on anything. Why really bothered me was at checkout when, he scanned my items gave me a receipt and that was it. I had to ask for a bag, as he was gonna make me walk out with a hand-full of stuff. When I did ask for a bag, he didn’t fold or put in nicely. He just shoved everything in it. Not a great experience with customer service all around.
Staff are always friendly and help me find or order everything I need. Plus this is just fun location to explore. I mainly get camping tools and supplies when shopping, but I always find something useful or fun to bring along on the next camping trip to enjoy with the family. The quality is always great and I have never had any issues with any of the Cabela branded items that I have purchased. You get what you pay for. The pricing for most of the other items I have purchased have been close to competitors as well. But if you hunt, fish, or camp you should be able to find everything you need or want here.
I usually stop in Cabela's if I am looking to pick up something local I need for the boat or some outdoor gear. They have a decent in-stock selection for getting stuff done on the boat, but I don't always find what I need. However, I think they have some of the more extensive selection of boating needs than a lot of the other retail stores near the area. They also price match some of the other big players, so keep an eye out for that.
I bought a Activetarget sonar that included free install after talking to Pat and set up an appointment brought the boat in. They couldn’t do it the first day, but it didn’t matter because there’s still ice in the lake. I picked it up the next day there was one little thing that we apparently misunderstood. They took care of it in 10 minutes, now that I get home, I said I got a whole bundle of wires underneath my front console that should’ve been hidden had to do with the confusion that I thought they corrected. I would like them wires out of sight , so I don’t kick them with my feet. All I wanted was it to be hardwired so I could just remove the module to use as a portable they left a bundle of wires. They’re thinking I needed them to be portable and I explain to them I do not. I hope you can help me out. I’m not happy. All is well now all issues have been resolved. Things are good. They responded and I will continue to purchase from them very respectful.
