My wife’s engagement band has been getting snagged on her clothes, so we stopped by Calhoun Jewelers to inquire about a remedy. The woman behind the counter took a look and asked if her manager could take a loom as well. She went in the back and came out a few minutes later. The ring had been repaired and cleaned and was looking and feeling brand new. When asked what we owed her, she just asked that we leave a review. No problem! Excellent customer service and the ring is no longer getting snagged. We will be back!
Sent a review earlier today but wanted to make sure showed up on Google so hopefully not duplicating! Thank you so very much to Calhoun Jeweler’s, specifically Richard and I believe Barbara! I stopped in earlier today soaked from head to toe from the pouring rain in hopes of getting my prongs repaired on my engagement ring. Richard came out immediately, took a look at my ring, went in the back and came out minutes later with a fully repaired and now sparkling ring! Amazing customer service, above and beyond to have it fixed immediately on-site. Definitely exceeded my expectations - and made my day! Richard and Barbara could not have been any nicer!
Calhoun is our go-to jeweler since we moved into the area years ago. I’m usually most taken by their collection of estate jewelry. They do have a lovely selection of contemporary jewelry, and I appreciate that they’ve curated unique pieces within that. Traditional? Quirky? They have it and are knowledgeable about it. No matter how mundane our business often is - watch repair, watch batteries, sizings, appraisals - the staff has been lovely and helpful.
Stopped in expecting to leave my ring to be fixed but to my surprise they were able to fix my bent prong right on the spot. Excellent service, I will definitely be back! Also the freshly made cookies were a bonus : thanks Calhoun!

Wonderful! Brought a very tangled necklace in for repair. In less than 10 minutes it was good as new! Very friendly staff! I will definitely be back again!
We went to Calhoun’s, today. I love the store, its style, it’s collections, it’s friendly and knowledgeable staff. My husband and I went for another repair! I’ve had a few hard times with my wedding rings. Had them restored, at the end of 2021, took a tumble in the beginning of 2022, actually found the pear-shaped diamond that was wrenched from its smashed setting, and went back to Calhoun’s. I would love to have explored the upstairs I think estate jewelry while we were there, but didn’t dare! If we had a jewelry budget, and we don’t, I’d be overdrawn for this month. We’ve been dealing with Cathy Calhoun and her staffers for over 25 years and with great success. I’ve learned a lot about some of the things I love: gemstones; design elements; the role jewelry has played in history; and how one great store can spawn another. — There is now a Calhoun’s in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, and it’s on my bucket list of places I’d like to visit in this lifetime!
Pleasant staff every one went above and beyond. So professional - will definitely be going back. I now consider them my Jewelers!
What an AWESOME place! I went in for a necklace repair and “Richard” did the repair while i waited!!! I’d definitely go back for any jewelry needs!!
Poor experience with what people state is a small town jeweler. Left work early since Calhoun mailed out flyers about a “Buying Event” for all types of items. Dealt with some heavy traffic but arrived during their normal business hours - which I might state is very limited for the average working person. Found the door already locked! When I knocked and explained my reason for the visit I was told to come back the next day. I told the woman I was there during their stated open hours and I left work early and I could not come back the next day. Upon the evaluation of my piece and insulting it, it was quiet obvious this was an event not to really buy items at a fair price. Also I didn’t need the 20 questions about why I was looking to get rid of the piece. Not everyone wants to relive the past. I quickly put away my other pieces. I didn’t need more insults. I’d rather drive to other friendly small town jewelers in another town than return to Calhoun.
