For over 62 years, Buffalo Mountain Camp has provided children, youth, and adults of all ages with the opportunity to experience God's creation and love through the avenue to Christian camping. On August 5th, 2012 things took a dramatic shift because of a flood that devastated our basecamp area. Thankfully, no one was on the property (except for the director and his family), and no one was hurt. Camp did however sustain significant damage to facilities and infrastructure (pictures posted on the website www.buffalomountaincamp.org under Project: Recovery tab). The Board and staff have been working hard ever since to determine the best course for recovery and will make some major decisions by July of 2014. Camp is currently closed to focus the limited resources on this process. Please pray for camp leadership and, if you feel so inclined, donate to the recovery efforts on the camps website.
Camp Bays Mountain is an outreach of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church whose mission is:
