Canal Lake Lodge

Sadly, my girlfriend and I probably won't be coming back to this place due to our last experience there. First of all, we arrived from a long drive to find the front door locked. Luckily we found that the side door was open. So, we bring our things in and noticed that the fridge was completely empty. None of the food that was supposed to be supplied for two nights was there. Also, there was no water, the place has undrinkable well water so that is a must. Then after our stay I find on my bank statement that they had tacked on 4 $25 charges without explanation. We have come to this place many times and love it, but aside from it being in disrepair they seem to treat it as if it's a Motel 6 room and the place is beautiful and interesting and it's just a shame. Sad to say, we probably won't be coming back.

Beautiful place to visit but out in the middle of nowhere down a gravel road where 2 cars can barely pass each other not that that would happen much. Able to rent for occasions or for nights.

My mother and father went there for a weekend getaway and found bedbugs under the bed.
