Virginia Elks Association is made up of the 28 Elks Lodges in Virginia, providing communication by means of 2 annual meetings, a website, and emails.
The Virginia Elks Association's members are the 29 local Elks Lodges within Virginia. The VEA provides opportunities for these Lodges and their members to communicate with each other by means of two annual meetings; the VEA website, virginiaelks.org; and an email service to distribute news of interest. In addition, the VEA has initiated a new program of conducting an annual training meeting to educate new Lodge leaders about the responsibilities and duties of their new jobs.
The VEA also has responsibility for administration and management of the two State Major Projects, the Safety Glasses Program and the Virginia Elks Youth Camp.
The mission of the Virginia Elks Association is the same as the mission of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks:
To inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share.
