Carla's Country Kitchen and Gift shop

This restaurant was suggested to us by a chef we met at a different restaurant in town. I got a breakfast sandwich but I substituted bread for a biscuit because they are homemade. My husband got biscuits and gravy and said it was really nice. The server was quick and friendly and our food came out hot. Also, the teen boy at the table next to us ordered the cinnamon roll and it looked incredible. It was way too big for my husband and I to split or I would have ordered one.

What a great little place for breakfast! We stumbled upon it. Fresh baked muffins so hot it was hard to hold them. I got the farmers omelet. A full meal in itself. The food arrived faster than expected, hot and made from scratch! I will recommend elsewhere too. A great little cafe!Food: 5/5

Place is nice, lots of old country kitchen vibes. Waitress needed a break but overall staff was great. Food was good, good portions & very filling, decent prices. Cinnamon roll was good, could of used some more cinnamon but great texture. Orange juice and lemonade weren’t anything special. They also have a quaint little gift shop attached with cool home goods and novelty knickknacks. Definitely worth stopping in to eat if you want something classic and aren’t wanting a fish & chips type seafood spot.

We had a large party for two birthdays we were celebrating. Carla was there to oversee our meal. Our server was superb. The food was delicious and the ambiance was beautiful. Thank you to Carla and her very capable servers.Food: 5/5

Carla’s was busy in the morning but were ready for it. Has plenty of seating indoors and out. The staff were quick to get us seated and our waitress met us in a fast manner. She took our order and within 10 minutes our food was out even though the restaurant was busy. I was quite impressed with how smooth it went. Definitely would eat here again when visiting.

Love this place! Definitely a must-visit when we're in Morro Bay. Don't miss out on the amazing and HUGE cinnamon roll. The biscuits are so good and I loved how huge the portions are. The pricing is pretty standard and the service is awesome!!!

Best biscuits and gravy breakfast I've had in a long time. Hash browns were a little overcooked but fine. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, just wheel right in.

Exactly what a local eatery should be. One of the only places we found open for breakfast before 8 AM. Our server, Heidi, took great care of us & kept our coffee cups filled. We both had the breakfast burrito and it was huge! Not to mention delicious. We really enjoyed the experience.Food: 5/5

Wanted to try a new place and chose Carla's Country Kitchen. The place was hopping, plenty of customers and even with a long line it was a very short wait. Staff was great, very attentive, fully bustling, cleaning tables, and moving them around to accommodate parties of various sizes. I had the ground beef scramble with green chilies and a side of gravy. The wife had two eggs bacon and biscuits. Both meals were good. Entire party must be present in order to be seated. Right by the water. No problem parking. Bacon with crispy but had a strange flavor underwhelming almost like it was cooked in butter.
