We came here to taste the clam chowder, and to be honest it was very good very hearty lots of ingredients lots of clam in there, and we also decided paste a Calamari and chips very good and nice location and very convenient. You can order at the takeout window and eat outside very fresh.
This place is so good we went twice. I had the popcorn shrimp the first time and then shrimp tacos and clam chowder the second. Everything is so tasty and made fresh for you. My father-in-law had the fish and chips which he loved. Anything fried here is delicious. Can't to go back!
Maybe other fish markets in Morro Bay are also good -- after all, Morro Bay is one of the few remaining authentic fishing towns on the California coast. But we picked Giovanni's and are very happy with the choice. The service is fast, the fish is fresh and excellent, the view is great. The fresh oysters were fresh and delicious.
We ate here a few years ago while we were on vacation. It was so good that we knew we wanted to eat here again on this vacation. I ordered the halibut burrito. It was amazing. I would totally ordered it again. My husband got the clam chowder in a sourdogh bowl. I'm not a fan of clams, but he thought it was amazing. The sourdough was excellent. We also got an order of fries. They were some of the best fries I've ever had.
I go to Giovanni’s every time I visit Moro Bay. I love the fish and chips. The raw oysters are the freshest I’ve ever had. Can’t beat the ocean views eating fresh seafood right off the docks. You know it’s good when there’s always a line to get in.
BEST FISH & CHIPS & Calamari & chips! You’ll thank me later, the most delicious fish & chips I’ve tried, the fish is fresh, it’s crispy, yum I wish I lived closer to have these always! We went to Morro Bay to celebrate and we had to give this spot a huge shout out for their food & the customer service by Diego was 100% like being at home, so friendly! Heidi too thank you so much for making us feel at home.
Awesome find. I live in Southern California and decided to test this place out. The shipping came as described and frozen with dry ice per my requested. It was overnighted. It seemed fresh. I bought 1 whole cook Dungeness crab and the colossal prawns, that I was hoping were in fact colossal...and they were! So yummy. Like a lobster but in between shrimp/lobster. We got 4 for the 1lb. They were bigger than my chubby little hand! : So worth the buy! My husband had 2, I had 1 and 1/2 my crab and at the rest for left overs. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
So delicious. The halibut tacos, garlic fries and clam chowder bread bowl were fantastic!
Delicious seafood combo. French fries are also cooked to perfection. Favorite item was the Shrimp and Chips. Fried Oreos taste like donuts, very good. Grilled fish tacos were amazing. Outside dining area is spacious, clean and has a beautiful view of the bay. 2 Handicap bathrooms are accessible and clean.
Good tourist spot, I had halibut tostadas bring the microscope to find the halibut more green stuff on top. Shrimp Nachos, a few small shrimp and more nachos. Chower was so/so. But over all, I understand $50 later why the sea gulls and other wildlife hang out. It say don't feed wildlife, but u don't get to look like a turkey from the fresh air fund.
