Well maintained, beautiful campground. Very clean and friendly. Spots are level and spaces have a very private feel. A frog lovers paradise! we will be back!
My husband and I just stayed here 4 nights and it was so hard to leave! Susan and Jeff are such sweet hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Quiet, peaceful and yes, you can even hear the frogs in the river! We will definitely be back! Thank you for welcoming us and making us feel so at "home"!
Beautiful park. We stayed here especially for the privacy hedges and “mega wide” rv sites. I hate how most rv parks have very tight sites but this place is very spacious. The game room is super fun too! Very friendly staff or could have been the owners, either way very pleasant. Its a smaller park so even at full capacity it never felt crowded. Another cool thing that we liked was how many other dogs there were. Definitely a pet friendly park with its own dog park! We will definitely return the extra privacy and amenities make it worth the price!
Clean and quiet campground. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Sites are well maintained and laid out conveniently.
What an oasis! If you like frogs and toads, this is the place for you! Tucked away in a lovely little lush bit of paradise. The game room is perfect for the kids. There's jumbo connect four on the lawn, also a hit. Communal fire pit was nice for the smaller sites, you can still enjoy a fire without the prep. Would stay again
We stayed at Carmel By the River RV Park for 7 nights. We loved it! It’s very well cared for with beautiful, fun gardens. Our puppy loved the Bark Park. Restrooms and showers were always clean. Managers were friendly and helpful. Quiet nights except for one owl. Loved it and will return soon.
A beautiful location with a wonderful staff. Spots feel very secluded. It's nice that they have a game room, on site shuttle, showers and a store. We appreciate that they allow dogs and even have a gated space for them. Can't wait to come back.
Located 10 min from Carmel by the Sea & 20 mon from Monterey, this campground offers a quiet retreat in the beautiful Carmel Valley. The owners are lovely people and responsive. The sites have full hookups, are not completely cramped together and for the area, the prices are reasonable to comparable. They offer free WiFi, restrooms & showers. It is nicely landscaped and the frogs from the adjacent river will sing you to sleep.
Beautiful and peaceful rv park. It is small and very quiet. The access to the park is exciting to drive, ha! It is very bump, a narrow road with areas that are only a one way, and a very steep incline. We stayed at a site that had its own private patio with a firepit and patio furniture. Highly recommend. The resident orange cat is so friendly! There is a nice green space for doggos and a Safeway about 1½ miles away and more shopping about 5 miles away. Dinner in Carmel is a quick drive and it is also easy to get to shopping in Monteray. We have a 45 foot 5th wheel with a dually and the park owners were very helpful when we had to back that rig into the site.
The road to get to the rv park is very narrow. Go during daylight if it is your first time going. Loved the rv spot. I got the mid premium site and it was plenty of room. You can’t burn firewood, but you can burn propane. I didn’t like the showers. It runs for about 11 seconds then turns off. You have to keep pressing the button for more water. The water is also lukewarm which sucked that you can’t control the temperature especially since the restroom is cold. The game room requires quarters to use the pool table and ping pong table. So take some change. There really isn’t much for kids to do. So take lots of toys. The park is not big so there isn’t a ton of room to ride bikes. Most importantly, stay to right when you get to the end of the road. We made the mistake of going left and almost got stuck in the rv park that is above because their roads are very steep and narrow. The staff are very friendly. The WiFi never worked which really sucked. Thankfully we had dvd movies. All in all, I would return.
