The worst dental experience I’ve had. Arrived at my appointment for a check up and cleaning waited almost an hours to be seen. The receptionist was not friendly at all. Then I went in for an x-ray the machine did not work and when they were taking my x-rays it was painful. Waited another 40 minutes to see the doctor. Doctor was nice. Asked if I could get my cleaning and was told there was no dental hygienist. Ended up spending 3 hours from work for an x-ray. This is the cedar park location.
I do not recommend Castle Dental, at least not the Cedar Park location. The only reason that me and my family went back more than once is because they were the only dentists on our dental plan. I initially went in for tooth pain. The dentist looked at my tooth and gave me the diagnosis. I was told I needed to make another appointment to get the actual work done regardless that I was in pain. I had to pay a copay each time I came back even though it was for the same issue. In the past, I have never had a dentist send me away in pain. They’ve always squeezed me in to address the issue. That was the first disappointment. The second time I came back, the office was closed even though I had an appointment and received a confirmation text for that day / time. There was a note on the door that they were closed due to having short staff. A call would have been nice. Another time my husband and I had appointments an hour apart. When I got there, he still hadn’t been seen. He was told his appointment was at 9:30, but it was actually 8:50 that is the time he arrived. Then I was told I didn’t have an appointment that day. I went to the desk to show the ladies that I received a confirmation text that his appointment was at 850 and mine at 10:00. Regardless to say, I had to reschedule. My husband just walked out and refuses to go back there. Another time, I called to try to make an appointment repeatedly. No one would answer the phone or respond to my voicemails. I had to drive there to make an appointment!! I could go on and on with my negative experiences there. All I can say is stay away from this particular location
My first and initial appointment was scheduled automatically for a date and time that didn’t work with my schedule. No one answered the phone when I tried to reschedule 72, 48, and 24 hours before the appointment. 6 attempts were made to reschedule. When I finally rescheduled the appointment and arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment time the doors were locked and no one was there. I called the number and it sounded like the receptionist was working from bed and said the office was closed that day. “Someone should have called you” No one did. I’ll be looking for a different dentist. Also, as I write this I’ve seen 5 people try to enter the office as well.
Giving a star only because I have to at least give one star. I showed up to my appointment today as did other patients in the parking lot and the office is closed. No warning, no cancelation, in fact, we received confirmations for our appointments. I have kids so making an effort to get here and finding someone to watch them is not an easy thing. My first appointment with them I waited an hour just for them to tap my teeth and tell me to schedule a cleaning. They have signs up all over their office asking us for our patience because they are short staffed and have had a lot of turn over. I was patient the first time. But finding someone to watch my kids to come down here and no one be around for my appointment is frustrating and flat out unprofessional.
Had a great experience with Dentist, Dr. Gupta DDS., Marryssa the Office mgr, and Megan on front desk. Castle did some re-Staffing in Cedar Park and they are all working together to assure you having a comfortable experience. If your older and have been neglecting going to dentist, they will help get you back track.
This locations staff is some of the most unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with. They sit at the front desk complaining about how much they hate there job and how they’ve put in there notice and then the male walks off and leaves patients for 30+ minutes waiting on an answer because he is too busy talking instead of working. I was supposed to have a tooth pulled due to a bad infection and was refused due to my bp being too high. 1. It’s a dentist office, it’s going to be higher then normal, 2. When you’ve already had to complain because you’ve been there for an hour and no one has called you back of course you’re going to be upset. 3. It’s an active infection causing pain and lack of sleep. We rescheduled to Friday and after I was charged $560 I was told they still couldn’t pull it due to my blood pressure. I was told it would be refunded to my card and left. Find out today the charge went through anyways and it has now been disputed with the bank as I am not paying for a tooth that was not pulled. This office is absolutely pathetic and I would under no circumstance recommended.
Two stars only because of the temp hygienist and dentist. The office is very short staffed and struggles to maintain a consistent schedule. Operations are poorly managed as a result of not being able to retain hygienists. I am sure the company, as large as it is, can pay for quality hygienists and retention of them. Unless the scheduling of apts they canceled my daughter’s and we both had already taken off work to make sure we could go when they had it scheduled is a serious consideration we will not be returning. Only schedule if you are very flexible. We both took off work to attend our scheduled appointment only to have it canceled.
1. Too many x-rays taken...18! And they were painful. Both my daughter and I were seen and we both had the same experience. When I questioned the dentist about skipping them next time especially for my adolescent daughter she refused! But the ADA website encourages judicious use of radiation. They even advertise an Image Wisely campaign for adults and Image Gently campaign for children to avoid unnecessary radiation. 2. I was told I needed a cleaning that would require multiple visits even though I requested just the general cleaning. 3. The treament plan for the cleaning includes an oral cancer screening, which I didn't request Although I guess it's necessary now, considering all the radiation exposure.
To add content to my review, walked in to fix broken filling and “ doctor” shipra. gupta told me that I have to get deep teeth cleaning before she will fix filling. She sent my to front desk to get quote. Proposal they gave me was 1418 out of pocket and insurance 4987. She didn’t want to fix broken filling she wanted to fix all my teeth or none.. for person on Medicare there is only few places I can go and they are basically telling u “will do whatever we tell your or nothing.” I reported this place to Medicare
This place is the worst experience. On a new appointment 18 sets of x-days? Just because insurance pays for it? They forced me to have a deep cleaning though it was done less than a year and insurance does not pay for it? Their charge is 675. I would NEVER visit again even if i have to pay more elsewhere. The ladies in the front are not friendly. I felt like third world country government office. In a nutshell this is a rip of place but not a dental service.
