Cattails Restaurant

Understaffed? Overly busy? 2 hours from being seated to asking for the bill. A bit much. Quality of food? Passing grade. Waitress? Good natured and unflustered. Worth a second try? If it had been our first visit we wouldn't make the second effort. We know you are better than that. Step it up. You can do this! Respectfully Submitted,

My first time at Cattails. Found that it is about 2 miles north of town. Not really walkable from town. Serves comfort food. I had a hamburger with onions and peppers with French fries. The hamburger had a real hamburger flavor and was cooked perfectly for my taste. The French fries were the best - crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, not greasy, very tasty. Overall great experience. I will definitely eat there again when in the area.

This time I had a delicious fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. So good!

I had a nice lunch with friends. We ordered wings and salads to share. The service was great especially the waitress who took care of us. She warned us that the hottest wing sauce was VERY hot. She was right, we got it on the side and that was perfect.

It has been a while since I have been th Cattails and since my last visit nothing has changed. Service was not the greatest. We went for breakfast, the waitress showed no ambition to serve us, the food came out cold, waited 20 minutes for a coffee refill. The place was not busy at all. All the wait staff was sitting around chatting about personal issues outside of work in front of customers. I have it 2 stars because it didn't quite deserve one. Definitely my last time going. If I see reviews that the service gets better I will go back. When this place opened it was amazing now it is just going down hill.

Good food and service but kind of pricey. We had 4 ea12 oz prime rib dinners with basic trimmings-baked potatoes, fries, veggies etc, three glasses of basic wines, three beers and two very good desserts for a total of $187.00 minus tipping. Not all foods are as pricey but generally a bit on the higher end of the scale for a lower atmosphere dining experience. But, to each be your own critic.

Great food!!! We were there for lunch. Plenty of options to choose from. The portions were generous. All four dishes were great and we are not the easiest to please. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Simply delicious !!! We will definitely be back!!

We are locals and go to Cattails frequently. I have always had a good meal and the prices are cheap. When it's busy, service can be slow sometimes, but understandable. You must try the homemade potato chips at the bar, you can ask for them at your table. Good selection of local beers on tap. Wing night is Wednesday- WARNING hottest wingsif you want them I have ever had.

The food was great, great portion size for the price. Service was to be desired, we literally had to walk up with our glass to get a refill on our drinks, and the waitress only had one other table. The biggest disappointment was getting the check and seeing added charges for soda refills!

Very expensive for what we ordered. Nine dollars for 5-6 very small pieces of chicken tenders.Appitizer Slow service. Waitress forgot to order some of our meal and had to ask ever time for more water did not come back to see how things were until the end. French dip sandwich and chocolate cake were good.
