CB Huntington's Restaurant

It's now called Bill's BBQ Shack. My 1st time here. Very clean, employees very friendly and greeted me right as I walked in. Helped explain the menu. I ordered brisket, sausage, fried shrimp, 1/2 rack of ribs, fried green beans, and some of their baked beans to go. Went to out the arcade while I waited for my food. This place is AMAZING! I want to come back to play! Food was still hot when I got back to Forked River and everything was DELICIOUS! I was wondering where we would get good BBQ now that Red White & Q closed, and this is it! They have daily food & drink specials, weekend entertainment, and that ARCADE! What a great Family place. I can't wait to come back!

We just moved to the area from North Jersey about 2 years ago, after ownership had changed. My kids absolutely LOVE this place!! They have Character Nights on Wednesday nights, they have special events for special occasions, and they have an arcade! My kids are 2 and 4 years old, and they get so excited when we tell them we're going to the "train restaurant." Yes, it has trains! 2 huge display cases of very detailed scenery with moving trains! The staff has been excellent every time we've been here... Very attentive, answers questions really well, acknowledges my kids unlike the bigger chains who could care less. The food is always very good. Out of the numerous times we've been there, I think I had a meal where the seasoning wasn't really there, but they fixed it right away. The prices are very fair for what you get. The owner is very generous as well, and you can tell he really loves kids. We've come home with plushes, toys, souvenirs, costume accessories.... all because we were eating in his restaurant with our kids! Since we've been in the area 2 years now, they have been trying to remodel and update the building, decorations, and arcade. From reading other reviews about the previous owners, you can kind of see what the new owners have to deal with. That's a lot of work, and it takes time! I'm giving 5 stars because you can really tell the owner loves this place, my kids love this place, and my husband and myself love this place! Edit: Dropping to 1 star because the quality has gone downhill dramatically. There was only one person acting as hostess and waitress last time we went, and the food was horrible. No seasoning, small portions, came out cold, and just gross. We gave up

JUDGING A BOOK BY THE COVER REVIEW My husband and I decided to bring the boys to this place. We hopped in the car and took the 30 min drive. Pulled in the parking lot and pulled back out. I don't know when these pictures were taken, but the place looks NOTHING like them. It's extremely run down!! No lights on the outside and not a car parked in the lot. We were afraid to eat there. We were really hoping to find a new cool spot to eat and figured the boys would love the train Decor. After Reading all these reviews I'm kind of glad nothing bother eating there.

It's a beautiful summer night. A rain cloud just came through, and now it has passed. Stars in the sky. If these people knew about RADAR they would show they care, and it won't rain for a few days. Hostess snapped at me and wrongly predicted the weather. My wife said, "I've never heard a ruder staff member.." I was told that the deck would be closed for the rest of the night. Meanwhile, stars out, nice breeze and we're stuck inside. we counted 7 staff members flirting with the local cop. They should wipe the tables and seat the 16 people who are waiting on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. No management. Hope the food is better than management choices. Last time I bring 10 people here.

Made the biggest mistake by going here after a nice night of mini golf. The service was absolutely horrible. We waited over 20 minutes to get drinks when we were 1 of maybe 3 tables that were occupied in the whole place. The waitress and staff once realizing how close it was to closing time practically pushed us out the door. Not to mention they closed down the ice cream bar without even asking us if we would like dessert. Not even sure if the food was good or not because of how terrible the service was. Don't eat here

Really dissappointed with this place nowadays. I used to come here when I was a kid and remember the great family experience. I was excited to bring my kids there and show them the trains and all the cool old stuff they had there. Walking in was nostalgic and that is when the good feels ended. After being sat quickly a young waitress greeted us and took our order. She then disappeared behind the bar and ignored us for over half an hour. It wasn't til I walked up to the hostess and asked where our food was. She went right to the back and brought out our appetizers which had clearly been under a heat lamp for awhile. The food was ok but nothing too great. Then our waitress showed up to drop off our food and then once again disappeared behind the bar. We once again had to go to the hostess and asked for our bill. She apologized for the whole experience and had the manager comp half the bill. The bar was rowdy the whole time and really kinda killed the whole family restaurant experience that I remember and the waitress was just plain neglectful. We were not thenough only table ignored, in fact we know at least one table left without EVER getting their food.

As stated on Facebook: Our server was very rude to us, I guess because she wanted to leave early and was mad she got sat a table. My friend doesn't speak the best English, and she would get an attitude when she couldn't understand what he was trying to say it was his first time going there, and I'm sure his lastThe restaurant was completely empty, and the food wasn't nearly as good as it used to be. I will definitely think twice before going there again. **edit**my visit was not today, it was about two weeks ago, and I happened to pass by and remembered the horrible experience I had. After reading the reviews for the past year, I'm noticing more and more people with the same experiences I had. I think you guys need to seriously change something before it puts you out of business.

Absolutely terrible. The "hostess" was texting when so arrived. She finished her text before greeting us. There was 1 waitress for the entire restaurant. They were out of the first thing we ordered. Then we waited over an hour for our appetizer we never got then they brought my son the wrong food. We would up just paying for our songs food and leaving. The manager was cooking the food because they only have 1 cook. It was very dirty and outdated. The rides were a death trap and even the employees were saying the owner only cares about the bar and they usually forget to buy food for the restaurant. Stay away !

After reading several horrible reviews, I decided to overlook the negativity and give the restaurant a try. I talked my daughter into having my grandson's 6th birthday party there on 8/25. There were several hiccups during the party. After speaking with the GM Mr. Dominick and Mgr. Lindsey who were both AWESOME, they both went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied and made the wrong right!! If anyone ever has an issue with anything here, I urge you to speak with either of them so they may correct the problem, before adding a negative review. They are both committed to customer satisfaction and I applaud their efforts in continuing to make this a great family friendly restaurant !! I will definitely visit again when I visit NJ.

The staff was very kind, but their food was just awful. I don't mind waiting an hour for my food, but if it's just going to be thrown in the microwave, I shouldn't have to wait so long.... The "homemade meatloaf" isn't fooling anyone.... It was clearly a frozen dinner which looked identical to a Banquet box dinner you can purchase for $1.00 at your local supermarket. The mashed potatoes were the "instant" kind. I haven't had those in years, and you can certainly taste the difference. The whole meal was very salty as well. As for those of you who might think I'm a food critic, I'm not. This is the first time I've ever taken to review a restaurant. I promise you, you'll know I'm not lying once you try their food. Don't believe me? Go there. On a positive note, literally nothing has changed since my last visit about 15 years ago when I was just a little kid. You could feel the nostalgia. I don't remember the food being so bad though lol. P.S. Stacey Forte is clearly a fake review lol
