The Center for Undergraduate Research (CUGR) invites University of Maine students to become engaged in a culture of independent learning and to participate in the creation of new knowledge. Through active student-faculty collaborations and mentoring partnerships, students can develop the tools needed to advance research while becoming more engaged with the community.
~ CUGR provides UMaine students and faculty with:
*Fellowship and scholarship opportunities during the academic year and summer semester,
*Organizes an annual showcase where students are given the opportunity to share their research with peers and the university and local communities
*Assists in filling research jobs on campus with highly qualified undergraduate students
*Provides funding for undergraduate student research
The goal of CUGR is to enhance and increase undergraduate student involvement in faculty-supervised research!
