Junior Black Bears goal is to provide a non-competitive team focused on teaching all competitive strokes while mastering fundamental skills and technique.
Swimmers should be considered advanced and ready to learn the competitive strokes. All four completion strokes will be covered and starts/turns. A coach is on the deck and not in the water for this program. Parents should carefully evaluate the readiness of very young children. Children must be a minimum of five years old to enter this program for safety reasons.
Diving Students should be good swimmers and feel comfortable diving off the 1-meter spring diving board. For this team, they must have spring board experience and be a minimum of seven years old for to enter this program for safety reasons.
The goal of Junior Black Bear Swimming and Diving is to provide a non-competitive team focused on teaching and refining all competitive strokes, mastering fundamental skills, and concentrating on technique. Swimmers will build confidence in the water and learn what it means to be a good teammate.
