I love Zoos. No matter the size or location, but the fact that this Zoo is in the middle of Central Park makes it that much cooler to me! It'll maybe take you an hour to get through which is nice for a quick trip! The Zoo itself is super clean! We enjoyed our time the most in the Tropics exhibit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
Great little zoo! We had a couple of hours to kill and decided to buy tickets. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was and we were able to get close to the animals and take some really good shots. We recommend visiting!Visited onWeekday
Exactly what we expected. Small zoo but it works great with our planned itinerary. Animals looked healthy and Zoo is well maintained. Very nice Zoo for being in the middle of the cities. Lots of options for snacks and drinks. Had a great time. D-LO recommended

Great place to hang out with kids of different ages. Summertime is a great time to spend at Luna Park, you can enjoy the ocean and the beach activities too. The time you'll spend there will be remembered for a long time.
It's not the biggest zoo I have ever been to and unfortunately Alex the lion from the Madagascar movies is not there, but it's a great place to kick back and chill from the busy New York streets. There are lots of animals to see including; Sea lions, Penguins, three Grizzly Bears, a real cool snow leopard, amphibians and fish and tropical birds. They have a small cafe too. There is also an option of a movie on the more expensive tickets. It's small but perfect for a couple of hours with the kids.
Great experience for the kids. A few interactive stations with zoo staff to educate on animals. Would just recommend more signage, we were not clear where to go and what animals were there. Also the kids zoo, we didn't find out that there were specific feeding times for the petting zoo until after we paid. Outside of that, not much interaction for the kids except leaning on the wall and hoping the animals come near enough to pet.
The Central Park Zoo is a hidden gem in New York City. It's small, but it's well-maintained and has a great variety of animals, including red pandas, snow leopards, and penguins. The red pandas are my favorite animals at the zoo. They're so cute and fluffy! I love watching them climb around their tree and play with each other. The zoo is also a great place to learn about animals. There are signs all over the exhibits that explain the animals' natural habitats and behaviors. I would definitely recommend the Central Park Zoo to anyone visiting New York City. It's a great place to spend a few hours and learn about some amazing animals.
Beautiful animals! It’s a small zoo, but you’re sure to see lots of interesting and cute animals. This place is great with children and for a quick day trip.Visited onWeekend
Beautiful smaller zoo. It has 2 entrances. 1 for their main zoo and 1 for the children's zoo. The children are able to get up close and even personally touch many animals from the children zoo. The staff are friendly and the place is very clean. The children zoo is a wonderful place for the children to be silly and explore too. I highly recommend a visit. You can explore both areas of the zoo in 2-4 hours with a break for lunch. I highly recommend visiting with many quarters OR lots of single dollar bills. If interested in feeding the farm animals. You get about 10 pellets for 50 cents from their pellet dispenser. They have a coin exchange machine, too, however, only for single dollar bills.
