"Hair today, gone tomorrow"
The Chaffee Barbershop Museum not only lets the visitor 'step back in time' to that day in 1958 when Elvis got his symbolic army haircut, but serves to honor the effect Fort Chaffee had on the state of Arkansas and the important role it played in World War II and every decade following.
"The Chaffee Crossing Historic and Entertainment District is a rapidly developing area with a microbrewery, a winery, a bicycle shop, a salon, event centers, and plans for new restaurants and retail shops within the year. The Barracks at Chaffee is a $30 million renovation project in process that will see WWII-era Army barracks converted to shops, restaurants, apartments, and Airbnb units. A whiskey distillery, a second winery, a coffee shop, and a coffee brewing company will soon open their doors and tasting rooms.Nearly 40 miles of trails connect the area to nearby attractions ncluding the AR Colleges of Health Education, the AR River Valley Nature Center, Wells Lake, Torraine Lake, pickleball courts, golf, soccer, and RV parking."Reviews, get directions and information Chaffee Crossing Historic District.
