Description

This facebook page is a means for updates and contact with Cheaper by the Dozen. We are a thrift store which operates under the non-profit organization, New Covenant Creation Ministries. Our mission is to bring hope to the hopeless and provide a shelter for those in need.

Locally, we are outworking this mission by assisting men and women with addictions of various degrees. We provide accountability, job opportunities, rental assistance and classes which help them to rise above their addiction.

Internationally, we are fulfilling this mission by fully funding an abused women's shelter in San Juan de Lurigancho, Peru. There are currently 29 women and children living in the home and we are working with each of them to get them mentally, physically, spiritually and economically ready to be woven back into society as functioning and thriving members.

The best way for you to get involved in both of these operations is to make any of the following donations to our store which we will gladly pick up from you. To make a donation, please call 770-873-6058 or email [email protected]

We are absolutely looking for any of the following donations:

Changing their hours, M-F 10-6. This was a regular weekend out of the way mind you stop for me but no more. Drove by on Saturday 11/5/22 and saw the sign on the door around 5 pm. Really disappointed. It was a good treasure hunting spot. Wonder what this will do to business. I did notice a couple of other ppl do the same pull up, read the sign, and drive off. I am frustrated but it's ultimately their loss.
I always enjoy coming into this thrift store. The manager is always really nice and greets me and my girlfriend every time we walk in. I don't always leave with something but every now and then I'll leave with some good deals for a good price.
Can display products more efficiently which would help to find what is needed quicker & easier. Would also help their own sales & get more product into the hands of consumers who really need the awesome discounted prices instead of having so much waste.
This is a store that has a lot to offer, but a lot of it is not in the greatest of condition. Things are fairly cheap there and I can imagine if I spend enough time I would find a lot of good stuff that I liked. But it just wasn't my scene, I'll probably end up going there again but I don't know how soon. I'm sure the staff is very nice there they are fairly helpful whenever I talk to them, but it just wasn't really my scene. If you're used to Goodwill and or similar places this is definitely more cluttered. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, just more things to look at
I love this place! Ever since I moved here 18 months ago every time I walk through the door I find something I need at a great price. David is the best, he always greets my family with a smile and remembers my kids.
One of the worst thrift stores. Broken glass on the floor, half empty but somehow piles of stuff everywhere. Would not recommend.
There are 2 locations for Cheaper By The Dozen. We went to the one on Jimmy Carter Blvd. The big sign on the building just said Thrift Store. I'm in a wheelchair, so it took me 3 hours to shop. My friend was done in 1 hour. Yes, well YOU try reaching those clothes from a wheelchair. LOL! So yes, it is wheelchair accessible. Just be aware that the aisles are very narrow. For less than $20, I came away with a big bag of clothes, including a warm winter jacket that sells in regular stores for $60-$85. They had men's, women's, and children's clothes. They alsop had housewares and furniture. The owner was there. We had been texting, I had a lot of questions, so he walked over and introduced himself. His name is Bruce. He's very nice. If you get the chance, say hello. I thought the prices were wonderful, especially since we went on Wednesday, Senior Day and got everything 50% off. My friend thought the prices were too high. There are other days with different discounts. AND they have lower prices on 3 colored tags a day, not one. Maybe that's not every day, I don't know. If you're a senior, definitely go to Cheaper By The Dozen on a Wednesday and save some cash.
Bargains in there are hit or miss they get donations from estate sales when the estate sale is over they donate the remaining items to this thrift store so the high prices that you see on it are from the estate sale and then they put a second sticker on it and then say it’s half off so it’s a game a gimmick they’re playing the place is a mess and the isles are narrow the staff does not say excuse me or thank you are no politeness whatsoever the checkout woman on Wednesdays is extremely rude never says hello never says thank you can I help you nothing so the staff there is in huge need of an overhaul they’re probably getting paid very little push you out of the way very rude
Went on 50% off day & got some great deals! Down comforter, tools, clothes. Gave me a coupon for 60% off on Thurs & 65% off on Sat, going back again today!
Interesting thrift store with good bargains. I subtracted two stars due to the smell of the place. I know selling second hand goods means that you may encounter old smells but it's really no reason to not keep the place clean.
