I also have to share that Kathy is great. She has done two kitchens for us now and we love them both. She is professional and patient with changes and additions. So great to have gotten to know her and value her as a consultant and sales person.
The guy that helped me match a paint colour today was so helpful - and his work was fantastic! I’ve always had positive experiences in this store. Awesome customer service - staff are so friendly and helpful. Store is clean, organized, and stocked.
I was in here for some paint and met Doug who helped me in many ways. This was one of the friendliest and helpful customer service I have had in a long time and I feel he deserves to know that. He was very helpful sharing many tips to help me with painting as well as explain the science that goes into making the paint and boy it’s amazing! Thank you Doug for your incredible customer service we need more people like Doug!!!!
We try to shop Canadian whenever we can. For the most part we have been satisfied with this Home Hardware. However, if you are wanting to do kitchen renovations and/or upgrades avoid this store. We ordered countertops June 8th. The first set arrived not as ordered. We were offered a discount or they would re-order. We opted for our original order. The second set arrived July 13th, and was damaged. The sales rep and manager were quick to remedy this. At the time of their re-delivery it was noted about defects in the product. Rep took photos. Aug 8 another email was sent to Home Hardware to address the defects. Manufacturer was sent to our place, repaired some and said that we needed to reach out to Home Hardware for a solution to what could not be repaired. Sept 11th finally got an email response, that manufacturer had been notified to contact us and if they didn't in a couple of days to let her know. Sept 20th I emailed and am still waiting on a response. No response from sales rep, kitchen manager or store. It's been almost 4 months since the beginning of this project. Supply and manpower are not the issue. Customer service, or lack of, is. Avoid the frustration and shop for countertops elsewhere
Hello, we are in process of reno of our house and of course kitchen is part of the reno. We are so lucky to deal with your kitchen designer Cathy Kutt. She is so great to help especially my wife to select kitchen cabinets and other stuff! in addition she is extremely nice person and it is a please to deal with such professional individual! What a TEAM here! Doug & Brent in paint department are super engaged, highly knowledgeable, they deliver best in class shopping experience every time! They don't rush you and genuinely care about the outcome...thank you for this! Denise & Theresa in Flooring - what can I say! Two projects they have walked me through and guided me every step of the way! Very thorough, professional, friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable! Catherine in Design Gallery is wonderful with her design picks and choices customized to your project. She always takes her time and is patient and kind. Just have to say that I was greatly impressed by Doug in the paint department recently at this store. He took the time to explain the somewhat complicated process of tinting paint close to white and what is required to seal up interior bricks. I've been doing renos for a long time and resent it when a salesperson talks down to me and Doug didn't let that happen. So they have good products and good people, what more can you ask for in a hardward store?
Stopped by to get some help designing a deck. Daniel was very knowledgeable and went through the steps to get a quote. By the next morning, I had a drawing and details of the materials needed to build the deck. They had the best price, so we ordered the material and delivery was arranged. Great staff to work with.
Ordered Kitchen Cabinets & paid 50% up front. I was strung along for 5.5 months...and learned after contacting one of the store owners Fred Sweeting, that the cabinets were Not even ordered yet.!!..since they could not obtain a contractor or trades to do the work. I fail to understand why they offer kitchen & bathroom renovations?? They have no skilled trades available. Jennifer Davidson helped me pick out everything...and then no answers as to where the cabinets were. Never answered the phone, even after I left messages. I was given a Full Refund, only after contacting the store owner. Extremely disappointed with Home Hardware on Chemong Road. Nothing like wasting my time planning & waiting for 6 months...to receive NOTHING.!! NOT the place for your Renovation Needs..!! Shop Elsewhere!!!
Doug Dunlop paint department. Nothing but great experiences dealing with the paint department. Thanks for all your help. Dealt with Doug almost every time I need something. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I’d follow him to another store if I had too!
