Chesapeake House Restaurant

We heard about the early bird menu here and we were not disappointed. When we arrived we asked for a window view so we can watch the wildlife. It added to the atmosphere of a seaside seafood restaurant experience. A lot of delicious food for a great price. The service was fast, efficient and very friendly. The hush puppies and cinnamon buns were so good. You can buy the hush puppy mix at the front cash to take home and make. The famous fish stew was small and tasty for an extra $1. We ordered the seafood platter and it was excellent. We also tried the deep fried oysters. So much food. I would definitely go back.

Nice beer selection. Great view of gator!! Fast and knowledgeable service. Lemonade for teen.kept flowing. Early, senior and regular menu. Food very good. Cole slaw two thumbs up. Salads fresh with dressings made in- house as well as cinnamon rolls and hush puppies. Delicious. Combo platters, shrimp platter and lobster pie, GREAT!! Not usually a fan of deviled crab-- this one was excellent. First time, will return. Tartar and cocktail sauce also very good.

We had reservations as they opened at 4:30, party of two. Walked in, promptly seated to window seat overlooking the lake. Sharon promptly came over and greeted us, got drink orders; brought back a basket full of hush puppies and two cinnamon rolls - no need for an appetizer- then got entree orders of the Chesapeake fish, salad and sides including the fish stew - all was fresh and to order. We were so full, brought the cinnamon rolls back for a dessert later. This is a great place for dinner; thank you Sharon for great service!

Very good! Wonderful setting and ambiance. We were lucky to get a table right on the water without any reservation made ahead of time. They obviously know what they are doing, having been in business for over 50 years. The seafood stew is good but lacked any sizeable pieces of fish. It was entirely small shreds of fish. Vegetable sides were overcooked lima beans and asparagus But the seafood is the main event here and it is fresh and perfectly prepared. Scallops were succulent and juicy, and the seafood combination was superb, including some huge roasted oysters!

Great ambiance, staff, and food! I made a reservation on the same day for two people, and they gave us a table right by the windows. We even spotted the alligator. Jamie was polite but also friendly and very approachable. The food was excellent. I have not had solid good fresh seafood ever since I left Taiwan two years ago, and although they still seasoned the seafood here, I can definitely taste the freshness that I missed from home. Definitely coming back if ever visiting again :

It was the best atmosphere I have been in awhile and the food was perfect. From the gator bites and the best steak in town. I recommend if your in or visit Myrtle Beach check out this place. So worth its prices.

The Shrimp Creole on rice was fantastic, the Shrimp plate is the best you will ever have, waitress was very professional and courteous, food was expertly prepared and the hush puppies and cinnamon rolls are superb, highly recommend and will be eating here againFood: 5/5

You'll absolutely LOVE this restaurant! They have been in business for "50" years! They truly appreciate your business and they tell you so. They are quick to come to your table to wait on you. They have so many things to choose from but you have to watch ordering appetizers, not because they aren't good because they are delicious but by the time you get your food, you'll do good to eat your main meal. No joke, you'll leave there stuffed! But don't worry, they have a lovely variety of yummy desserts and you can order that to go! Haha. We visit there every year on vacation.

Delicious!!! Staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Food was fresh and tasted Amazing. Had the Chesapeake baked flounder that has this crab cake mixture on top that is phenomenal!! Asparagus and a salid topped off the perfect meal. If your in the bar area, Mrs.Allyson with take great care of you!!

Had reservation, but herded in with everyone early bird. Server was new but very nice and knowledgeable. Avery was our server so if you ever stop by ask for him.. 2 cinnamon rolls and hush puppies right as we sat down. Atmosphere nice nice view of.. a fountain in a finger of the lake, very nice. Salad with ranch dressing. Gator bites for appetizer. Not over breaded or fried. Done just right. Main meal seafood combo and my wife got the porkchop. Both meals cooked to perfection. With the amount of patrons they have i have to give an Overall 5 stars.
