This is a very clean museum. It is small but definitely a significant piece of Choctaws modern history. The gift shop is great, and the staff is very nice. Check it out if you're in the area. It's definitely worth it if you are going for labor day.
I loved all the small to large exhibits ..really helped me get in touch with my heritage and learn about some of the last names in our families and communities and their importance to the tribe.. the gift shop was my favorite I have forever wanted choctaw souvenirs and they had so much to choose from!
Stop by here to check out the new Choctaw History trail and War Memorial trail that is located on the Museum grounds. This walking trail has several marker that tell the history of the Choctaw Nation and Marker of the Choctaw that fought for this country. So even if the museum is closed you can still stop by and take a look around. Well worth the time.

This old Choctaw council house is shaikh beautiful and wonderfully kept. The upstairs is the museum and downstairs is a nice gift shop. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable while the grounds are kept well. A must see on your historical list!
Really enjoyed the museum visit. Learned a part of America history that I just didn't know that must about. Would visit again.
Learned a bit about Choctaw culture and tried the food, also got a mug at the gift shop! Amazing time, loved our time!
