Small town Museum, packed full of local information, about the Grassroots of the community. Volunteers are usually knowledgeable on a range of subjects about the city, and it's Unique history. From a town that started making mud bricks and concrete, to a high-end neighborhood is quite unique the museum has the pictures and artifacts any researcher.

An amazing job done by the Historical Society. Strongly reccomend stopping by.

I am Joel Clayton's great-great grandson. I am indebted to the CHS for doing genealogical research on Joel and finding where in England he lived until 1839. We visited the village, formed life-long friendships with the English people.  My wife, Jerilyn, and I recently moved to Danville, and upon visiting the Museum of San Ramon Valley housed in the Danville Depot learned that Joel was instrumental in establishing the San Ramon Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad.

Great museum of early California life.
