We went tonight for our first class. The owner/and all of the instructors were incredibly friendly and welcoming, very knowledgeable, and kept us informed. My kids were excited before arriving and their amazing, positive experience has them through the roof excited to learn with them! Highly recommended!!!
Can’t say enough good things about Chosen Martial Arts! Fantastic for everyone- beginner through black belts. Many classes to select from and all are included. Mr. Hicks is fantastic at showing a variety of ways to do moves- especially for anyone with injuries, bad knees etc. He’s incredible with balancing positive feedback and gentle correction. Correction is always paired with a reason generally- because you could hurt yourself. Very welcoming.
Outstanding dojo. My daughter loves it so much that I joined as well. Not gonna lie, was very hesitant to start karate at 41. It’s so much fun and everyone is really great at helping you learn. Not to mention the occasional humor that gets mixed in. I’ve heard numerous references to 80s movies and I love it. Again, very awesome place and Sensei Hicks will make you feel like family
Our son has a great time here with super friendly kids around his age, some are younger, some older, but all in all they treat each other with care and respect. The most amazing teachers here make you feel like you are a part of their family. This place will make you feel right at home very quickly. I couldn't imagine a better martial arts studio!!
I went to go watch my daughter take a belt test and it really impressed me how invested the instructors are in there students. I really enjoyed just watching it and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to learn.
Master Hicks is one of the nicest, respectful and helpful people I have met. His teaching is top notch and pricing is very fair too. I would highly recommend joining Chosen Martial Arts
i go here to take karate lessons. I'm testing next week for a white with black stripe. both of the two instructors are very nice. if you are in this area and are interested in trying out karate, then come here. They also have a YouTube channel called Chosen Martial Arts Online Academy.
We had my son's 4th birthday at Chosen Martial Arts. 4 is a tough age group, and the instructor did an amazing job of engaging the kids and making it a fun event for all. He was kind, made sure even the shy kids felt welcome, and it will be a party my son remembers with joy for a very long time.
My friend and I have been going here a week. Wonderful experience!!! Family friendly, welcoming, I've never been much into Karate but this place has encouraged and motivated me to give it a shot. If you or your family are looking for a place this is the place to be going!
This is a great school that offers diverse martial arts training opportunities. With class offerings including Tang Soo Do Korean Karate, Tai Chi, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Hapkido, Master Hicks offers training opportunities for individuals of all ages. Emphasis is on fun, family and hard work.
