My daughter has been in the ER since a little after 11 AM, she waited till after 1 to get an IV now just waiting for them to remove the needle in her arm its almost 4. I see lots of staff walking around not doing anything. This is one of the worst places ever. Last week they had my dad wait 3 hours before giving him an IV then told him he had a parasite he was dehydrated they didn't do any blood work so how can you say he had a parasite? I suggest driving somewhere else before coming to this hospital.
My 2 year old had a severe reaction to ant bite so I was a complete wreck! The nurses and doctors were really sweet to us! Just wish the old blood in the thing behind us was not there… but thankful y’all took care of my baby
I am posting this for the St. Christus emergency room staff and doctor. My wife came into the hospital with extremely high blood pressure. The emergency room personnel were awful busy, since it was a Monday night, but they made sure that she was taken care of despite the overload. Nurse Kimberly Shultz and her staff were just great, including Audra and the other unnamed individuals. Dr. Ross was excellent as well. He took time with my wife and explained the reason for the spike in her blood pressure. Thanks so much for the care. Mike Defee
Had to go to hospital for an emergency, the care and treatment I received was some of the best I have ever had. I had RN Mr. Thomas. He was the kindest, most caring person I have ever met. I would highly recommend this facility, if you do say hi to Mr. Thomas. Becky Cartwright
I hear a lot of people saying negative, but I have nothing but very positive things to say about JMH. I was very well taken care of and was treated with lots of respect.
Pathetic excuse for a hospital and especially ER department. This location actually should be shutdown. I urge anyone who can make it to Lufkin or Beaumont, and moreover to Houston to please bypass this place and go to a more competent place. They are not only rude, ill equiped, and not all that sterile, but they do not tell you the results of cultures taken from infections when you are there OR weeks later when you call back to get an answer. They furthermore don't even have the proper medicines to help you if it's an infection like a diabetic ulcer. Last ER visit I had there my wife actually brought supplies from home that even the doctor said was better than they had there at the ER. She also was the one who ended up actually working on my ulcer herself while the nurses and doctor didn't do a thing. I would highly recommend going elsewhere if you value your life and wellbeing. One star is too many for this bandaid hospital.
Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital was fantastic, doctors were handle the procedure with professionalism, expertise, nurses doing prepop and recovery did an excellent job. You could really see and feel the care the nurses wanted to give, to make the hospital stay comfy and relaxing. This rural hospital is good an well experienced. God Bless.
I was always apprehensive about this hospital, maybe because of how it looked on the outside. Nonetheless, to my surprise, this hospital did an exceptional job of taking care of my mom. From registration to ER to discharge, I can only say great things about this facility. I was visiting my mom from Dallas to celebrate her 65th birthday. She suffered a severe asthma attack, and Jasper Memorial saved her. I want to thank everyone for doing their part. The people I would like to thank the most are Dr. Justin, Shelia, K. Jean, Sarah, Laura, Jason, Kathleen, Tiffany, Paula, radiology staff, environmental services, emergency dept, dietary, and of course Sabrina, NP. Your dedication to patient care and your professionalism deserves to be recognized. I was genuinely impressed by the care my mother received. Keep up the excellent work. If my mother becomes ill again, I will not hesitate to choose Jasper Memorial for her healthcare needs. May God bless each and everyone one of you. Thank you!!!
I wish I could give this hospital a zero star rating. Never in my life have I walked out of an Emergency room after an IV has been started and blood been drawn before. Also, I wasn't the only person walking out of their ER room at that time. It wasn't because they were busy either. The nurse was extremely rude. When she came in she did not even acknowledge me. She didn't introduce herself or tell me what she was going to do. I assumed she was from lab because the Dr said he was going to order some blood work. She verified she was going to draw blood but didn't say she was also going to start an IV. Finally I asked her who she was and she rudely told me she was my nurse but gave no name. This type of behavior continued throughout my visit. She was rude to my husband also. My husband and I decided to leave after being there for 2 hours and still no pain medicine for the extreme pain I was in. We decided to go to a hospital in a larger city. My husband went out and asked the nurse 2 times to come take my IV out but she refused to do it and just disappeared. So, I just walked out and headed out to the door. On the way out I was accosted by several nurses yelling at me that I couldn't leave with the IV in my hand and they were all rushing at me. It was very frightening. I've never experienced this type of rudeness and disrespectfulness at a hospital ER before. Just be aware before you decide to use this hospital that you may receive some very poor service and of course you will still be expected to pay.
Some of the staff that work at this hospital is ridiculous. No compassion what so ever. I firmly believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated or the way I would want my family to be treated. Karen one of the ER nurses was horrible from her lack of professionalism to her attitude. I would NOT want any of my family to be treated at this hospital
