CHRISTUS St. Patrick Health System

I recently had a cervical fusion surgery at St. Pat’s. I had quite a bit of anxiety going into the surgery, but I trusted my doctor and our family has had good care at this hospital in the past. The care team that was assigned to me was phenomenal! Nadiya was one of my nurses, but I can’t remember the names of anyone else on the team. When I called for something someone was literally in my room within a minute or less. There was a sister there who came by to check on my daily, and she even brought me communion. I have never received such great care as a patient. I highly recommend this facility to anyone.

I went into the original ST PATRICKS HOSPIAL. The surgery with Dr. Wolfe back surgery went great. The nurses on 4322 was great. They were by my side at all times. But I do have to fuss about rooms. They are so small no room to turn around in or move food tray. I didn't like the way your food menu was taken. It should be given to you on a form to circle what you want. Like the old way was. The therapist was super nice.

Okay, so my visit didn't start off so well. But, I must say that Baliegh, the ER nurse was very very very kind. She was very friendly. I was up there with my 12-year-old daughter who was suffering with migraines. It took a very long time to get called to the back, which was the root of my frustration. It wasn't towards anyone. Baliegh, the whole time, every step of the way, was very attentive, she spoke to my daughter, the whole way through, she let her know every single thing that she was doing every time she was doing something, she just made the experience so much better I was a mother there very worried about my 12-year-old daughter. She really showed that she cared. That is why I gave five stars.

Dr. Kelly, his team, and everyone involved in my care were amazing. From pre check-in, my surgery, recovery, overnight stay, and at check out everything went very smoothly and I was treated with kindness and respect every step of the way. Thank you.

A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE had to have VERY SERIOUS SURGERY and the ICU had no AC... It had been out for a week! As visitors were allowed, it was 80 degrees and there wasn't even a fan on him!! No excuses for that! Also was there for 2 meal times and there was NO meals sent to his room. St. PATS SHAME ON YOU.... AGAIN!

I feel Blessed to be out of the pain that my knee has caused me for years. Now maybe I can walk without with the security that I am balanced. The Orthopedic Clinic is so organized and treat you like family.

I am only giving one star because of the nurses, housekeeping, and hospitalist. Majority of the staff are very toxic. Starting from the Director of Physical Medicine, who allows and promotes this toxic environment. In the last 2 years several long standing therapist have left because of the toxicity and for the fact that the director almost encourages sloppy therapy and holds none of her “chosen” therapist reliable who are very young and fairly new to the profession. The patients in rehab stay more in bed or wheelchair than they actually do therapy. Therapist leave the patients sitting during their allotted rehab time to pump their breast milk, make personal calls, or just sit and talk to other therapist. When brought to the director, she simply allowed it. Other departments/units have noticed and often make the comment about how it seems she is living her life through the younger staff vicariously. So if you or your family member needs any kind of GOOD therapy, run across town to Memorial or out of town to neighboring cities with rehab units.

I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. They neglect my uncles care for 4 days and withheld food form him for 2 days and giving him food that a diabetic should not eat. The staff does not communicate with each other so no one knows what’s going on. They also forgot to give him his meds one morning.

From my walk in to being wheel chaired out the complete staff was fabulous, caring and friendly. A fine example of what hospital care should be.

Not having insurance, I had a sympathetic Dr inform the ER that I was coming in due to severe gall bladder issues and needing an immediate surgery. I was taken back almost immediately, blood work drawn and iv put in place. I was pleased to find out that I’d be admitted and surgery would be performed the next morning. After a rough night- I was made more as comfortable as possible- I was wheeled to a somewhat uneventful surgery, after spending the following night I was released. I was treated very kindly and never reminded that I was uninsured. I wish I’d been able to get more information about what was going on with me and how serious things were but I know how it is. I’m now almost a week post op and things are getting better- not 100% but better. Others have commented on esthetics but St Pat’s was old when my mother was born there in 1949.
