thoroughly enjoyed my experience watching Minions: Rise of Gru here. While I didn’t order any food, that is a cool feature where all you have to do is hit the “press for service button” and they’ll take your order. And the vintage posters make it feel old school.
The theater was small, 3 rows on the right, 2 on the left, the screen was surprisingly small and low quality. I don't have great eye sight and could see every pixel. The other group that showed up commented the same and actually left part way through. Probably because the seats were very uncomfortable and dont recline. It was a worse experience than sitting on my couch with an 82in TV. Food prices are similar to a mid price restaurant like hawthornes pizza and the drinks are priced like a hipster bar. My watermelon margarita was $13. Prices are in line with the old studio movie grill, but that place was leagues better. The theater was also very dirty. It wasn't cleaned at all before our movie. There were 3 trays of half eaten food in the row infront of us from the last movie i hope that never got moved while we were there. Just go out to eat and go to starlight or an amc. Starlight, same parent company, Has seats 6x more comfortable that recline and a screen about twice as big. It'd even be cheaper to fill up on candy at starlight. In the image I am sitting in the back row row 3
Went to the movies yesterday and it was great! We watched dog—We had popcorn Tiffany’s pretzels and drinks! I had a peach mango Italian soda and the other drink was mango pineapple pretty good cinebarre, but my only complaint was noise sometimes it’s very loud and other times it’s kinda quite but that’s all the rest was amazing Rating changes sometimes after visits
Was impressed for what it is - love the ability to order at the seat. Good for more social-type movie experiences
I gave it two stars because it was relatively clean. The girl at the bar/ counter was not very friendly at all. I didn't realize that you checked in at the bar, so it was a simple mistake because I'm used to the Rea Road setup. I understand only one person was available to deliver the food, but still my fried pickles were so soggy. I think I'm going to stick with the theater I'm used to.
I recommend this theater. All movie food prices are expensive. If you join and get regal perks it can sometimes help. The theater was clean and out server was nice. It does take a while to get your popcorn and drunk however if I'd gone to the counter I wouldn't have to wait assuming they have a counter. Great concept and relaxing. I definitely recommend
Spacious theatre with full service for drinks and food during the movie. A little thirsty halfway thru the movie but don't want to miss anything? Push the button by your seat and a server will take your order and bring it to you.
This place used to be my favorite theater in Charlotte. The only issue I ever had was the tiny screens in some of the theaters, so i always had to check and make sure I picked a time when the movie I was seeing was on screens 5 or 6. But the last couple of times I went the place has definitely started to go downhill. The theaters are FREEZING! That wouldn't be so bad, but the food that I once loved has really slipped too. as weird as it sounds, they used to have some of the best pizza in the area. Don't know what has happened but it is not good anymore. The last two times I have asked for my crust to be a little crispy, hoping they would at least cook it through. nope. Still pasty and chewy. Also, the beer is not cold at all, and you never know what you're going to get if you order a mixed drink. Overall, the last couple of trips to this theater have been disappointing. Time to start looking for another cinema.
The chairs are too comfortable! I couldn’t watch the movie because of that I slept 2 wonderful hours! Other than that, amazing location, amazing inside!
Terrible service, they are horribly understaffed. I remember going here a few years ago and the larger theaters would have 2 or 3 servers taking orders. We were in the theater for 30 minutes before anyone showed up to take orders and it was just one person for the whole theater. Food arrived 30 minutes later and our drinks, which were just simple fountain drinks didn't arrive until 30 minutes after our food. Of course they were prompt about getting the checks to everyone before the movie ended. I've been going to this theater for 20 years even before it was Cinebarre but if they're not going to staff the place I'm just going to go to a normal theater where I can pour my own drink and don't have to wait an hour.
