We actually didn’t spend much time in the actual library since we didn’t live close enough but it’s very mice looking inside! We did have a great time on the playground! I love that the playground is gated! It’s a nice playground but I will say that parts of it seemed unsafe so I had my kids stay away from those parts. It’s also a great feature for a playground to have an indoor bathroom inside the library.
As a retired English teacher, I was so excited to get my library card after moving to Daytona Beach! However, I was beyond disappointed by the limited selection considering how well appointed the floor space is. So much empty space here see image. Audible and Amazon for me.
Lovely library in a gorgeous location. Plenty of tables to study and many seating areas. They have meeting rooms and a small auditorium. They have lots of computers to use and even a local history section. The have restrooms, a water fountain, and a bike rack in front. Ample parking in front.
Loooots of amazing free programs for kids and families, tons of resources, library access to tons of digital content as well as physical. Everyone here is kind and helpful and accepting.
AMAZING. Jeffrey at the front desk is a godsend. As a charter school teacher who just learned that they will be teaching advanced English language arts classes this year and have flexible curriculum, Jeffrey was the ultimate boon and resource. As was Daniel... I was gifted *a box* of brilliant books, including but not limited to Joseph Campbell ... Some I will share, some I will keep and read for myself. Additionally, I learned about the bevy of other online resources and field trip info! Thank you for imparting your knowledge to the next generation!!! This was exactly the type of connection and resource I was praying for :
This place is disgusting, with homeless people, and odors. When in to edit my resume and couldn't go to the computer room because of a bad odor David front desk suggested that I use the computer in the kid section then changed his mind. Then another employee came up to me to ask "what's your problem " Wow people here are rude they will not help you here. I will never come back here again. This is really a place for homeless people to come don't expect them to help.
First off, I love this place. Your kids even get free lunch during summer 12-1 which is cool, but DON’T YOU DARE EAT THEIR LAST FEW PEICES OF CHEESE STICK like okay I guess I’ll just throw this away so you’re happy lol Another parent on their playground said they made her return food or something? I feel OBVIOUS posted guidelines for a summer long program of “free food for kids” would be beneficial to both library employees & parents. Perhaps with the hours displayed on the projector screen? That way, -most- parents are aware of any guidelines, and the library staff doesn’t have to waste their breath. No one wants to feel like they “stole free food” their kids have already eaten off of. It’s absolutely wild that the government is willing to spend so much money looking for the Titan submersible, and the library has to be strict on a couple slivers of a single cheese stick. It’s a wonderful resource; I’m glad they do it for the kids. I’ll live without those last three slivers of string cheese, I was just ‘cleaning up’. But I’m sure someone who takes a child there for free meals on a regular basis could probably really use a few slivers of string cheese… /endrant lol
Awesome library to fax and print. About a dollar per page to fax. Must have library ID.
This library has it all for young children through senior citizens. Always a variety of special interest programs available. So much information and knowledge available and so little time to enjoy it all
Love this place. On the water and wonderful selection and a lot of resources for the community.
