We Thank our City of Belleville Illinois, for their service and sacrifice. Their professionalism and protection, is reflected daily. On today, when our neighbors reported suspicious activity through the non-emergency number. The City of Belleville Illinois police officers, responded quickly. Belleville Illinois Police Officers displayed professionalism, empathy, kindness and protected plus provided necessary services to all citizens in need. We also thank the ambulance service EMT's male and female that also displayed patience, empathy and respect for all citizens. The dispatcher who took the call was also professional, empathetic and efficient. Thank You ALL for your daily service and sacrifice.
Belleville police department are rude officers. If you go into the police station to ask questions, they make you wait a ridiculous amount of time before they come down to talk to you. Then when they get to the window they act as though you arr bothering them and what your talking about is wasting their time. I went there regarding a stalking situation. They were absolutely no help. They did not help me at all. As a matter of fact I was told if I carry a taser I would be in trouble. So I have to wait to be hurt before anything could be done. They couldn’t patrol my block... they could absolutely do nothing. The cop was huffing and puffing and rollin his eyes. They need more training on how to deal with people and be more engaged in other their community. I work everyday and pay taxes
They have not been of no help for months with my issue! My SSN has been used/stolen and I filed a police report so the Lauderhill, FL Police Department can start the investigation on the person who used my info. Unfortunately, they made me wait for two hours and then when I finally did get a report number, the Report team doesn't answer their phone! They open from 8-4, but they never answer. So now I cant get my report and do other paper work with the other police department. Belleville! Get it together man and answer your phone!
Bald white male officer walking around with a young female officer at the chili cook off was extremely rude and talking down to my girlfriend and I because it was 10:28 and he had walked up to us while we were finishing a bowl of chili that we bought to support the community, and said "u guys seriously need to go it's 10:30" and proceeded to stand directly above her and I and force us to move while we had maybe 3 spoonfools of chili left in the bowl and there were SEVERAL other people all around drinking and eating and he just walked past them and directly up to us for no reason. As we left the cook off there were still over 100 people walking around and they were still serving chili which is how we got our bowl. We don't pay you to harrass people who are simply sitting down eating chili helping the community out, showing up to these events. We pay you to protect and serve the community which you were doing neither. He stood above us acting like he's all tough and above us because he has on a little costume and badge. You work for us, Do your job and stop harrassing citizens that are doing nothing wrong just because you think you can because you have a badge on. It does not make you any better or different than anyone else. And you wonder why some people don't respect officers. Its Because of stunts like this that happen all the time that make the whole department look bad. I wish I had gotten his name so I could file a formal complaint through the Department unfortunately I could not as he was forcing us to leave and wouldn't respond to anything. Looks like I won't be going to anymore community events
Wouldn't help me when I locked my keys in my car, I get that's my fault but locksmiths won't help with cars because police stations are sapost to be the ones to help when this happens, rude as hell on the phone when I mentioned this aswel

No one answer the phone in the detectives unit. Can't get an answer on anything
