Great baseball field! They have stadium seats so no need to bring chairs. There are bathrooms located near the main entrance which you can get to quickly if you sit behind the backstop near the ground level. There is a nice size covered/shaded area behind the backstop too. Parking kinda sucks because most of it is subject to foul balls. So get there early enough to beat everyone to the better parking.
There's always something to do, there Tap dancing Grannys, yoga, sittersize, strength training for the elderly, Bingo, bonco, Tuesday and Thursday lunch and so much more... it's AMAZING and so are the people. The pictures are from one of our many trips ..
Outstanding facilities and plenty of parking, fields are well maintained
According to google the Colonial Heights Parks and Recreation “field” is the same thing as Sheppard Stadium. Check out my review under Sheppard Stadium.
Elliott and Roger are always so helpful and really care about the kids in our city. They try their hardest to keep activities going all ages of the community. Keep up the great work!
My wife, Marie, and I drove down to the Tri-City Chilli Peppers ball park. Our friend, the artist, Rebecca Taylor with ArtUnabated.com, was unveiling the 3,000+ square foot mural she had painted with the help of volunteers for James House, a non profit working with victims of domestic violence. The ball park is beautiful and well maintained. There's also a beautiful little league diamond across the parking lot. Ample parking. Great surroundings for watching a game.
I wouldn’t waste your time putting your little ones in sports out here we are fairly new to colonial heights and put our 4 year old in tball out here granted you only pay a small fee of 20 for the recreational leagues but you get what you pay for my sons coach canceled every practice his team had and not all of them were due to rain some day it wouldn’t even be raining and they would cancel the practice and just tell these 4 year olds to show up to the game and play without even being taught the game! They hyped up there opening night and the stadium and canceled it as well as there last game that was supposed to be played with in the big stadium and never rescheduled just told our kids to show up to a field a month later just to be handed his trophy and said “here bud” before we are even out of the car no party no waiting for the rest of team no clapping no nothing I grew up playing sports and it’s a shame to have people volunteering for coaching that don’t even teach the kids how to play just so they can write it off on taxes
Management offices for sports and recreational programs for all ages. Very friendly and helpful staff for all things parks and sports related in the city of Colonial Heights.
They are very friendly
Bathrooms are far away from the field we were on but I liked how they have a playground for the littles to play on while the big kids play ball.
