I lost my ex husband to a car accident a year ago March 11th. I have been trying to help our 19 year old son get answers regarding the circumstances of his death. NO ONE reached out to him, despite many calls, emails and text messages. To make it worse, there is a Sargent who DID take my call and said he would personally inform the lead detective almost two months ago, and STILL crickets. Very unprofessional and uncaring. I could not imagine living in that jurisdiction and paying taxes to that department.
They have moved off of Camp Creek Parkway, the staff was wonderful, attentive, sensitive to my concerns. I would like EVERYONE to realize that police are people with feelings and emotions and should be treated with respect.
So someone stole the tags off of my truck and I’m from out of town. Once I noticed I called the non emergency number and Sgt. L. Carter came in an efficient amount of time. He took my information, attempted to make good conversation to divert clearly a frustrating situation and he filed a report all in a timely manner. I appreciate the tips and advice he gave so I can safely return back home to Maryland. Thanks! And for the negative reviews be sure to utilize the non-emergency number, it seems to be more effective.
If I could give NO STARS that’ll be the FIRST AND ONLY option I chose! I don’t live in the area THANK GOD but I got into a car accident in the area and they’re holding my accident report hostage for whatever reason! I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for my report and they’re always having some excuse as to why it’s not ready. My insurance company is literally waiting on them to give me my report so they can proceed with my claim! We are not on y’all’s time!! The inconvenience and the millions of Im sorrys are unacceptable. How are we supposed to take the police serious if you can’t properly and timely file an accident report??? Smh A JOKE! APD would never.
I have a situation where my childs father who is not legitimized has taken my child to Texas from this jurisdiction and i tried to get help from an officer at this department. The officer didn’t even want to make a report and had the nastiest attitude all because i kept trying to explain that the judge i spoke to an hour before coming had already told me and written up a statement saying ive always had full custody and the biological father is not the legal father because he is not on the birth certificate and also that this was kidnap!! The officer kept calling me a liar and told me i should have the judge call him and say it!
This has to be the sorriest phone system in the world! It should be ZERO stars! You call what should be a non emergency number and you get disconnected constantly! Either improve it or lose it! Makes no damn sense and then you all have the audacity to be rude according to other remarks I’ve read! But that’s black leadership for you! And YES! I’m black!
It seems if you call, to report cars illegally park on the street in the neighborhood, by no parking signs, the last two officer that came out seen the cars, by the no parking signs and drove off! So what that does is give the thugs in the neighborhood who don't own homes is the Police could care less by these infractions? This is why we have so many shootings and break in, it start by enforcing the posted laws and signs in the neighborhood, this I why I don't go to a H O A meetings as I stated time and time again, the Police will rush to please white folks, and get mad with black folks homeowner like me calling about illegally park cars on the street, I have seen several near miss, school kids darting from behind these cars, Pointer Ridge Subdivision!
I got in a head-on collision with a drunk driver and I got transported to a hospital instead of the police coming down to get my statement they wrote their own statement then took the drunk driver statement they never came to the hospital and then when I went back to the station to tell my side of the story after from being in the hospital and try to tell what happen they never did fix it and this happen 12/9/18 and I'm still waiting for them. To fix it till this day 1/21/19
No wonder everybody gets away with everything. Called these folks and the police never even showed up! Like at all! And there’s a precinct less than 3 minutes away but couldn’t get not one patrol car to show up. Smh Atl pd or any other department would’ve been there in a matter of minutes. It’s the next day and they still ain’t showed up.
I don't understand all of the bad reviews, but I have had nothing but satisfied experiences with this department. They are truly community engaged and friendly.
