The Tivoli is such a treasure. In addition to having a rich history, it's been lovingly maintained. The main theatre and the smaller screening room called the Willis Theatre are both really great experiences for movie viewing. The main theater is so large, I'd be shocked if there was a bad seat in the house. The smaller theater is an intimate viewing experience - I was initially worried because my seats were in the front row, both that worry was for naught, the screen is the perfect size, the seats recline, and the front row is far enough away from the screen that they were actually the perfect seats. I hope the Tivoli continues to recover from the pandemic so it can be a fixture of the Downers Grove community for decades to come.
I grew up going to this theater and still love it. A beautiful space to see a movie or attend an event.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! The theater alone is awesome, but I also had an awesome customer experience moment. I completed an online gift card recipient email address incorrectly, I contacted classic cinemas, and received response quickly, and courteously. They were able to redirect to the correct email that same day. Well done! Bravo! We go to Tivoli most often, but classic cinemas has other awesome theaters worth seeing a movie at too
Getting in and having your ticket code scanned can be a bit tricky since it's combined with the concession stand. That said, once you're in, it's a great classic cinema experience. The popcorn is terrific, and the drinks are bottomless. Overall, it was a very enjoyable movie experience.
We can just walk to the cinema and enjoy our favorite movie. It’s not the best some chairs are a bit ruin but we always enjoy our movie. It’s always clean and it’s cheaper than any other one. Pop corns are good and drinks too
Last summer I went to a private event at the Tivoli. It has been years since I been there. But I am still very impressed at the beauty of the place. photos speak for themselves
Went here for the first time for a free screening if "Scoob". My grandkids loved the movie, I was more interested in the old buildings architecture. I could of spent a considerable amount of time there just looking around. The theater has kept it's old time charm, but has updated the seats and the bathrooms. Kind of sad to see the balconies gone, but totally understand the reasoning behind it. Small concessions area, but works just fine. Love that the staff wore white shirts with bowties. Theater is quite large.
The size and history of the theater are really fun for watching movies here! The theater is REALLY old but it’s kinda well maintained. Some of the seats are a little sagging, but there are plenty of seats to move. The popcorn is the best in the area all Classic Cinemas are and all of the concessions are cheaper than other chains.
This is a real nice theater with an old building vibe with a lot of culture, but still well maintained and clean. The employees working here are very kind and happy to help with anything.
Wow!! What a special unique and stunning theater!!
