I would NOT recommend ! The staff was okay. But the seats were so close together you could barely walk through! It got so dark in there you couldn’t even see the person next to you . So many seats but so crammed together ! The drink machine was out of so many drinks . SMH .
Decent but could use upgrade and cleaning. Biggest problem is the concession line, if you catch a certain type of customer behind you in line, sometimes it's better to just let them skip or pass you. Yes we live in what's supposed to be a civilization. No, it's not worth risking setting off someone who lacks the impulse control to wait in line for popcorn without getting their dominance challenged.
Very nice location. Theater and bathrooms were very clean.
SOUND OF FREEDOM I hadn't been to the movie theater in years! I was surprised it was assigned seating instead of sit where you want. And less employees. Couldn't get the soda machine to work, but at least the icee machine was pretty straight forward. Temperature was perfect, I didn't get cold. Bathroom was clean. Towards the end of the movie the screen just went black. Everyone thought at first the power went out. Don't know what happened or what we missed of the movie, no explanation was given. But all in all I enjoyed myself and the movie.
This is the only theater in Edwardsville and surrounding towns, so will always go there. The theaters, bathrooms, and foyer/lobby are showing a lot of wear and tear. The ticket prices are high based on the condition of the building. Their movie selection is always varied, which is great. There’s usually something for everyone. As with any theater, food prices are WAY too expensive.
Theater was nice, but really hot. Ac has been broken for a while now and when we went to say something they said they’ll have someone go on the roof. We ended up leaving halfway through the movie because I couldn’t breathe. Bathrooms are also very slippery. Men’s restroom had pee all over the seats and floor. Will not go back to this location.
Usually pretty good but the staff cycles more than I'd like with the college supply. I've spent likely thousands here, in addition to holding at times that amount in equity, and am a bit concerned with some of the policies. For example, we were very late and came back to see the beginning of a movie another day, then had to leave to catch a religious service after seeing the missed part. We left a device in the theater and were denied access to our property for over an hour and a half, during which a lightning storm came we had to run to our car through. I cannot fathom how a risk management department wouldn't allow for some discretion here. They say it takes a hundred times to keep a customer but only one to lose one, makes you really think.
Worst theater around...everything is outdated and falling apart. The chairs in every theater except Dolby are torture devices. The bathrooms are gross and most faucets don't work. The staff don't care about their patrons. Just left the theater on a 90 degree day and it was 90 degrees in the theater because their air conditioning was broken. "We are aware it's a problem and have had lots of complaints". That doesn't fix anything! I would love it if Marcus could buy this theater and improve it because AMC doesn't seem to want to do even basic repair.
Ben at concessions was amazing. Completely explained the stubs member thing and what all i could get. I’ve been a stubs member for over a year! And had no idea of all the things i could get! Thank you Ben!!
Theaters are hot and dirty. Bathrooms are disgusting. Staff is nice, but this theater needs lots of help. I saw Mission Impossible July 2023, but the bathrooms were nasty like this 2 years ago, so it is an ongoing issue that they do not care to fix. I would not go to this theater ever again.
