The Classics Department at Carthage offers a robust course of study in all aspects of the ancient Mediterranean: languages & literatures, religions & mythology, history & philosophy, art & archaeology. We have 7 faculty members with diverse expertise and interests, all of whom are committed to working with students to develop their research interests.
To engage students in the study of major crossroads in human development, and to start them on the path to scholarship through critical inquiry into the intellectual and material expressions of the languages, histories, ideas and cultures of the ancient Mediterranean and medieval worlds.
