I cannot tell you just how happy I am with this facility. Three months ago my brother became very ill and after this very difficult time we were able to secure a bed for him here. We have faced many obstacles in numerous hospitals and facilities that have left a bitter taste but not once did we encounter that in Cobble Hill. Everyone and I truly mean everyone there has been a pleasure to deal with. From the welcoming security at the main entrance, to the kitchen staff and especially all the nurses, speech therapist and physical therapist as well. When we first arrived we were unsure of how this new experience would go but I know my brother's spirit has greatly improved because of all the encouragement and uplifting words from the staff. He has been very happy in this facility and the staff has much to do with this. He's been helped and nudge in the right direction so that his health can continue to improve. What seemed so far away is now maybe weeks away. He came in unable to stand or eat and now he's walking, talking ,eating, drinking and most of all beating us all at Chinese Checkers relentlessly.
My experience here at Cobblehill Health Center had been most pleasant. The staff really works hard to care for the patients. The Recreation Staff involve the patients in the many activities. The Nursing Staff is attentive and tries to make the patients comfortable. The Patient Relations has really been helpful to me. The Physical Therapy Staff works really hard to get the patients up and mobile. They were a great help to my care.
NEGLECTFUL!!! If I could, I would leave them ZERO stars. My mother was transferred here for physical therapy. They were short staffed and even the nurses explained that. The day of admission, her bed was broken and never replaced, despite complaining of it. The next day, she appeared to be more confused and was complaining of abdominal pain and no pain meds were ever given. I kept calling the place to talk to the nursing supervisor and it took a long time to reach out to him and he finally called me back and said she’s confused because she keeps taking her oxygen off. The next morning at 3am, I received a phone call from the nurse that she is getting transferred to the closest hospital because she became in respiratory distress. Come to find out, they have been neglecting giving her synthroid, because her TSH levels were below the norm, mind you, she came out of myxedema coma and her TSH levels were in a safe range. NEGLECTFUL!!! And she NEVER received Physical therapy for the 3 days she stayed there. That was the main reason. They made her condition worst!!!
I've been here several months and I really appreciate and enjoy the activities, the rehab team has been consistently good I was here after one surgery and then again after back surgery and the rehab was always great!
The CNA and nurses are wonderful. The therapists in therapy are just great! Melinda patient rep and sydiya in recreation are so caring.
I had my mother transferred to Cobble Hill after her discharge from the hospital. I was very satisfied with the care she received. The facility was clean and well maintained. Ms. Melinda helped make the process easy and my mom was happy with the attentiveness and care of the staff. They also coordinated her home care upon discharge. I would definitely recommend them.
My mom is currently a resident at Cobble Hill I’d like to say a huge thank you to the CNA staff the Recreation Team and the Nursing Staff for giving her and me a piece of mind in her care. Thank you all
This is the worst nursing home! If you care about your family members do not send them here. My loved one has contracted numerous infections due to the lack of care and attention they give to the patients. When you ask questions of concern the nurses look at you like your stupid. The nurses do not communicate with each other when switching shifts so the proper care is not being handles. You can tell they don’t care. They are in the field for the money not because they care about the well being of people. Absolutely horrible.
I have had my dad at Cobble Health Center for almost one year and have had a very good experience with the staff and the services provided. The patient/family coordinator,Melinda, has also been awesome with our family at the facility. Since my father arrived, she has always been so accommodating especially when we were facing so many restrictions due to COVID. Moments and celebrations that we look forward to, like birthdays and Christmas, have been possible with my mother, wife, friends and family. Melinda has also given my daughters many opportunities to see him, talk with him and enjoy many moments that we treasure. Moreover, my mom has also been at Cobble Hill Health Center and the staff was so friendly, helpful, nurturing and so accommodating with Melinda to see my dad. They made her stay at Cobble Hill so pleasant and one in which she has made many new friends. We would however, like his doctor and therapist to update us more regularly on my fathers condition. Nevertheless, I have to say, that Cobble Hill Health Center does look out for the patients and their families. Thank You
I was nervous when I had to transition my dad to a nursing home. This was a new experience for me and my family and not an easy decision to make either. Cobble hill staff made this transition as smooth as possible. They walked me through the steps of treatment, care and costs. They told us about the covid precautions that they are taking and the options for my dad to interact with the family during these trying unprecedented times. Most of all the whole administration was welcoming. Anyone we spoke to offered to send us pictures, videos and video calls daily so we could see dad’s progress even if we all weren’t physically able to be there we have family In florida, LA and Chicago. My dad is pretty happy and getting good nursing care and therapy and that’s what’s most important at this juncture in his life.
