I am so happy to have found Sarah! She is a gifted bodyworker like no other. I teach yoga and Alexander Technique and I have experienced a lot of bodywork over the last thirty years. Sarah has a deep knowledge of organ and fascial connections and how that affects muscle and nerve. Her touch is confident and clear yet gentle. She has a unique trust in her own sense and body-knowledge. I think this makes her intuitive and creative in how she addresses the body's structural issues. She has been helping me with chronic conditions like peroneal tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, with great success. Beyond that she treats whatever I bring in that day. My odd tightnesses and asymmetries that I have had for years are miraculously being sorted out. Through her work I am seeing more clearly my own patterns and how they are deeply connected within the body. It's bringing new fodder for my own yoga/Alexander practice, which I love. Sarah's work is incredibly effective, and best of all--it feels GOOD!
As a midwife, I deal with neck and shoulder pain quite frequently because of the demands of my job. Additionally, I have an injury from childhood that left me with some limitations in my external rotation in my left arm. Sarah has been enormously helpful to me addressing both issues. Her massages are some of the most thoughtful I have ever received; she really understands the body. She always has stretches and recommendations for different kinds of movement when she thinks it would be useful. She is constantly learning new methods and integrating new knowledge into her work! On top of all of this skill, she just has a warm, reassuring, gentle presence and her space is lovely and relaxing. I always leave with an enormous sense of well being. I have also recommended her to various pregnant clients, all of whom have loved their experiences. In more than one instance, she has released tension in the body that then resulted in a more optimal fetal position I could notice the next day as a provider! In sum, Sarah is everything you could possibly want in a massage therapist. I highly recommend her.
I found Sarah during the last trimester of my first pregnancy and I am so glad I did. Sarah was very thorough, knowledgable, and supportive during a time when my body was constantly changing. I trusted her with the care of my body and my baby and she was a wonderful, nurturing, resource as I approached the birth of our baby. I also worked with her postpartum and feel she had such a positive effect on my healing process. I would highly recommend her for prenatal and postpartum bodywork!
I went to see Sarah after I acutely pulled my lower back during a performance. Sarah's gentle and effective touch helped my body realign and my back heal faster, with greater ease. Sarah is very knowledgeable and I trusted her and felt at ease immediately. She was recommended to me by my good friend who is also a talented massage therapist. I would happily recommend sarah to others and plan on seeing her again.
Sarah is talented, well trained and intuitive. As an LMT myself I often refer my own clients to Sarah and I also see her when I need to be worked on. Her sessions are very effective and create change.
My FAVORITE massage therapist. Sarah has helped me through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. I always leave relaxed and aligned. Her wisdom goes beyond just that session though, as she's given me advice that informs my daily movements. For example, I had a recurring issue with my hamstring and she helped me identify that it was likely because of the way I was holding a certain yoga position. I haven't had a recurrence since!
Gentle, deep and safe is what comes to me when I think of the time Sarah openly gives me at our sessions. Her gentle touch and presence creates a calm and safe space for me to release and do work deeper than the aches and tension that's in the surface. I always leave feeling lighter and cared for. Sarah was and continues to be an essential part of my process of rediscovering and connecting to my body. She supported me through my pre-pregnant years when I was healing from cancer, during pregnancy which was comforting and so very needed, and now postpartum and nursing where Sarah gently eases my aches and most importantly honors the time and self-care I give myself. I highly recommend her work and am so grateful to know I have a trusted therapist I can count on.
