You all need to DO BETTER! How about if the computer system that links you to CR is, IDK, NOT WORKING, you maybe, just for laughs and giggles, look at the appointment log and call the people to tell them so they DON'T DRIVE FOR HOURS TO GET THERE FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!!!! I am a Tica, I get the whole "Pura Vida " mentality that is evidently embedded in the culture, as annoying as it is, but seriously, get a clue! In this country, people are busy and don't have time to be traveling to Miami, missing work, dealing with traffic, etc., only to get there and be told by your inefficient, can't pickup a dang phone to call people, we'll just let them waste all their time and money to come here anyway, staff: "oh sorry, the computer system has been down all day; nothing we can do to help you". Seriously? Get with the program!!!! Learn to notify people. Maybe use this "new thing" called the Internet and make things available online, IDK! Ugh!!!!!
My family and I were treated beautifully with a typical “pura vida” attitude. All processes were smoothly facilitated by the staff and I felt like I was at home.
Grindel was so amazing! She was overly accommodating! Traveled 4hrs and she made our trip so easy! Thank you so much!
Staff in this consulate apparently are not interested in helping or assisting anyone, don't bother calling on the phone, don't bother showing up. I'm not sure how can they keep this place open .The level of incompetence and dysfunction is preposterous. Get it fixed is a shame for Costa Rica to have this image.
Very attentive and professional staff members. A pleasure and good experience!
Consulado de CR in Miami is pretty quick with emails. And the women in this office are super nice, helpful, and we’re able to get me everything I needed all in one shot. Don’t let the unanswered phone calls scare you away! They will help you get what you need! Dont bother calling, the Miami location won’t answer, but the Consulate in Georgia does.
If you planning to travel to Jaco Beach Costa Rica, be prepare, you are tourist, they over charge everything, restaurants overcharge, the test BInaxnow is recognized by USA and supposed to work with airlines anywhere and they refused, was not accepted and charge $70.00 per test, there are more beautiful places that here, and better treat on tourist, instead go to Mexico, Rep Dominicana, Colombia, Peru.
We have been trying to reach someone for help with a passport and no one answers the phone or answer emails. It’s nearly impossible to get help once you have spent hours trying to reach someone. It’s embarrassing and unacceptable.
The lady that came out to attend me was a lady that in Costa Rica would be considered a house cleaning lady. The way she was dressed was of a cleaning lady. She is the consulted for Costa Rica here in the USA. That is embarrassing. When I went to call her, Licenciada she got offensive and told me she is not a lawyer or nothing important to be calling her that. She told me the waiting time is 4 month to do any kind of action. I was so embarrassed and I took a Tico with me and he was embarrassed also. Anybody coming to this consult of Costa Rica in Miami, don't. Go somewhere else. They keep the doors locked and WON'T let you in. ALL AMERICAN OFFICES don't need mask and can walk in. NOT HERE. COSTA RICA, FIX THIS. THIS IS AN EMBARRASMENT FOR COSTA RICA
I have tried to reach to someone who can provide some guidance about an extension on my passport and I’m getting absolutely no respond from any person of the Staff. I’ve sent emails, made phone calls with no one ever picking up the phone while I’m calling during their unacceptable business hours 9-1 p.m. No It even able to leave a VM because it’s fulled not to mention is nearly impossible to schedule an appointment. Whoever is in charge of this entity , I hope the thoughts and feedback shared by a few people, as you can read on the reviews are taking into action, we're all asking just for some help
