I stayed 4 days in this hotel, spent a lot of my Hilton honor points to book. Immediately found roaches in my room this just ruined my experience Immediately. They did move me to another room and said the would comp the parking because they charge 22 a day. Never found parking in the hotel but one night which they woke me up at 12:24 am to tell me a spot was available! So the compensation of parking useless. The security was so rude to me and my family regarding the parking situation. I talked to the front desk she told me to find a parking and not move my car and find another way of transportation. What's the point of having my car? I asked to speak to a manager and never received a call. They promised me to compensate the situation with honors points, I never received them. The front desk was nice but some where not willing to do anything. Overall my experience was not well at all. I was not expecting for this hotel to have roaches! Not one , I opened the microwave door and found at least 10 in there, disgusting. They need to fix this issue. They are not cheap in price. My other room I didn't see any but after seeing that you no longer feel comfortable. The rooms are old looking, lobby is nice. Overall the good thing is the breakfast is good. They have an omelet bar. The compliments bar drink hours are good. Very nice bartenders. I am not a picky person but I was expecting better from this place.
This hotel was great! Far better than reviews indicate. The room was huge and pristine maybe a bit worn and dated, but the mattress was new along with the large TVs, coffee maker and other conveniences. Breakfast was great. The restaurant food was pretty decent as well. I didn't get to the pool but it looked perfectly pleasant. And, as many reviews indicate, the staff were fantastic. I was a bit worried when our airline sent us there, and it ended up a bright spot in a frustrating evening.
I did a 2 night Stat prior to taking a cruise. Although I had a rocky start before I arrived with the reservation people at the 800# the front desk staff made it right upon .t arrival. Staff is nice a d friendly and the room is great. The bed is nice and spacious but a little firm for my liking. My only complaint is that they advertise a complimentary reception every evening which apparently consists of $.50 bags of Ruffle potato chips and a orange. But you do get 2 drink vouchers per guest and the rum punch is nice and strong. The food is grossly over priced $20 for 8 wings, not even whole wings is ridiculous. The complimentary made to order breakfast was great with a variety of options. Overall I would stay again.
Staff are friendly and rooms are spacious. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean but old and dated. Big complaint is the noise level. The walls are paper thin and every sound from neighboring rooms are heard. Complimentary reception at night consists of 2 free plastic cups of well alcohol drink, draft beer or run punch and small bags of Doritos, Potato Chips or an orange. Restaurant pricing is what I would expect at a hotel. Costs more than the food is worth. Nice they have a shuttle to cruise port $10/pp
I got off a cruise ship frustrated with poor customer service, and walking into Embassy Suites MIA was like a breathe of fresh air. Firstly, it's an absolutely gorgeous hotel. Norma at the desk got us checked in early, Omar gave us a ride to the store, breakfast was super yummy, the entire staff was super sweet, the Miami punch at the reception was divine! We lounged by the pool most of the day and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We only needed a place to stay until our flight home the next day, but it wound up being the most relaxing part of my whole vacation! Will definitely be the place I stay when I'm in Miami. Thank you again Norma and Omar! Norma also has excellent taste in music
The rooms are old and need a little love. The furniture has some dings. The toilet is really low. I hope you've got some good knees to get down there and back to. The ceiling in the bathroom is really low. If you're over 6'2", taking a shower is going to be uncomfortable. The lobby area is the best part of this hotel. And the fact that they give you a voucher for a free drink/snacks at night and breakfast every morning. The views from the rooms aren't great. Here are the views so you can choose wisely. Rooms 2-10 face the highway, 12-20 face water station, 32-39 face pool and airport, and 21-30 face the cityscape There are train tracks nearby, and you hear the train horn quite often. The airport is on the opposite side of the hotel from the train track, so you hear the planes taking off quite often as well. So this is not a place you want to stay for quiet. Rooms: Outdated. A lot of damage. Needs updating. Walkability: Not walkable at all. Food & drinks: Food is delicious. Free breakfast is great. Includes made to order egg dishes.
The hotel was nice. However, I was a bit disappointed that most of the electrical outlets didn't work. I had to use the plug from the lamp in the bedroom in order to use my hair straightener. The breakfast each day was okay. The food could've been better. In the fitness center, the treadmill had a cleaning substance that almost made me fall. It was that slippery. Overall, the experience was good but not great. The traffic around the hotel was congested.
Hotel looks fantastic on the outside, lobby and atrium are beautiful... The rooms however are dark, musty smelling and look like they were last updated in the 70s. Don't get me wrong, they were clean, but while the public areas downstairs look new and modern its like you traveled back in time to a roadside motel by the time you get into your room. Update the rooms and this would be a 5 star review.
When it comes to hospitality, this hotel isn’t too hospitable. With temperatures dropping below the 50s in the winter, this place does not supply heat! The entire building was freezing. Don’t expect to take a shower either. The shower pressure dribbles out with barely enough pressure to rinse off soap. Use the sink instead. The design for the sliding door for the bathroom couldn’t be more hazardous. I’m lucky I didn’t break my fingers. Hands down the worst hotel experience.
This hotel looks great from the outside and lobby, but is in dire need of repair. 2 out of 5 elevators working, which causes delays in getting into and out of your room. They are tiny elevators with room for 6 to 7 people. The rooms are spacious, but dated and musty. The showers are cold during peak hours. The beds and pillows are quite soft. The breakfast in the mornings is great. I agree with other reviews here on that. The pool is nice as well. I expect much more from a Hilton Embassy Suites.
