You might want to have the Sheriff's come with you to go shopping. They have all new people working there. BEWARE if you ask a question. The guy that I was talking to about shipping a package went off the deep end, all because I wanted to know how much it would cost to ship. We don't give estimates... To me, J Crist, what do you think this is? Figured it out yourself. Get the F out now. Take your F ing package to the F ing post office. Get the F out of here... Then, he gets within a couple of inches from my face and keeps yelling. The hole time shoving his fat belly into me... I was ready to call the police because what he did by bumping into me is assault... I will be following up with the owners...
When staff offer to help, they will help you get what you need, make sure you have your project questions answered, and load heavy items in the vehicle for you. Conway True Value is a family owned store in Pioneer Plaza at the edge of Crandon off hwy 8. They offer a rental service for tools and equipment, garden and plant section, plumbing supplies, and general merchandise.
Great store to have in town. They have everything you need in one location. Found it quickly and were on our way. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I needed a spare key for our storm door. Menards, where we bought the door, only had a kiosk for keys. We tried it, the keys had to be special ordered. When they arrived, they didn't work. At Conway, they had the correct key blank in stock and cut within a minute. Perfect fit! Conway always has knowledgeable employees who are very helpful.
Great customer service! Mailed out over 20 boxes and had helpers right out the car to help haul all in!
Great customer service is what you get when you shop at Conway’s True Value. I brought my old window screens in on a Monday and I was able to pick them up on Wednesday. Great prices and everything is conveniently located. Good luck trying to find the right fittings on Amazon the first try. I’d rather just drive to the Ole pioneer plaza and make a quick pit stop. It’s as fast as going in and out - “that’s what she said.”
Great store with friendly staff! If they don’t have it they will order it! Deb Brass was awesome at matching some paint that has been on my walls for 10 years! I just wanted to do some touch ups & it matched perfectly! Thanks again Deb! Nice Hometown store!
Brought in a broken window to get a pane of glass replaced. It was repaired, and the gentleman who did the work even built a new corner piece to replace a part that was broken and no longer available. However, none of the hardware that latches the pane into the frame was put back in the window, and was lost by the store and cannot be replaced because the parts are no longer available. The store insists that the hardware was not in the window when I initially dropped it off, but it WAS, which I know because I had to use the hardware to unlatch the window to take it out of the frame in the first place. They're loyal to their staff, but their service is horrible and they will lie to avoid taking accountability for their errors. Future hardware needs will be filled by more reputable but distant establishments further south.
Half the people in here don't know anything about hardware prices are nuts and most of the time you can't find anything
I cannot in good faith recommend this store to anybody. I went in to purchase LP gas and was quoted a price of 1.05 per gallon which would be exceptional. After filling my tank with 26 gallons, I was charged 1.05 per POUND resulting in over 4 times the expected price. Everything is overpriced here and a half hour drive to Rhinelander will save you big dollars at Menards or Home Depot. Anybody who knows propane prices knows that $122.96 for 26 gallons is at least 3 times the average propane price. People, don't do business with crooks like this. Drive to Rhinelander or Antigo for your hardware or propane needs. Don't buy so much as a candy bar here.
