There are many lovely artworks to see that would educate your thoughts and consciousness. The museum arrangement is the only reason I gave it four stars. The galleries are not well-organized to display all of the artworks. You might miss a few of them because they are in a blind spot. In addition, the signs directing you to the galleries were unclear. While looking for gallery #6, we ended up in gallery #7. And walking the #7 led us to the #6 at the end. Aside from that, there is a live show in gallery #3 at certain times which a glass making process is demonstrated to visitors. Check the time slots and arrive on time to watch the show. It is included in the price of the ticket. On the ground floor, there is a museum shop where you may purchase the most stunning glass pieces. Based on the prices I've observed, the price range is about between $10 and $10,000. Overall, it's a must-see museum in Corning!
Very engaging museum which can keep adults and children busy for several hours. You can explore the glass art gallery, discover the amazing science behind everyday glass objects, with many hands on displays that keep kids looking for more. Additionally there are free to watch live presentations glass making and the exciting glass Breaking. For additional cost you can participate in a glass making session good idea to pre register to save a spot. While this was interesting, we were a little disappointed since participation in the actual glass making is minimal. Also note that you either need to come in the next day to pick up your work or pay an additional shipping fee. Lastly there is a great cafeteria with a wide selection of foods that are very reasonably priced not typical for museums. Free parking is available with an EV charging station. If you are up in the Finger lakes area this is definitely a great place to visit. When you're done, you can chill out in one of the many wineries or breweries in the area.

You can watch as the glass softens under high temperatures, then gradually takes shape under the artists' adept manipulations, eventually emerging as gorgeous handicrafts. Moreover, watching these demonstrations provides an opportunity for interaction with the artists. During breaks, they explain their creative processes and answer questions from the audience. This not only allows you to gain a deeper understanding of this art form but also enables you to feel the artists' passion for their craft. These experiences have left a deep impression on you about this place. Whether it's the meticulously designed interior decorations or the fascinating glass-making demonstrations, they have filled your journey with color and joy.
It was a fantastic experience. There were so many beautiful glass pieces in all shapes and sizes to view. Thousands in total. We also saw a glass blowing and class cutting demonstration. They have a cafeteria with some decent hot meals and a variety of snacks and drinks. It's definitely a unique experience.
Good place to visit with kids. Entry for kids is free however you can buy glass work activities for kids. Your tickets are valid for 2 days so you can visit there next day too. Corning Museum of Glass is one of my favourite museums to visit, it is part art gallery. The glass collection is just stunning to see the creativity in this difficult medium. They have many different types of informational sessions throughout the day and are very educational for people of all ages. Children 17 and under are free of charge which is great value for families on a budget. Highly recommend visiting especially with children, it's a great learning experience.
I had so much fun at the Corning Museum. I paid for a museum ticket and signed up for a blow your own glass experience. I made a pendant for the blown glass and it was so fun. I got to pick my colors and an instructor helped me add the colors and pull everything properly to make my design. It took a while for it to come in the mail but it was worth it. The museum was a lot of fun and I loved the demonstrations!
I knew about the Corning Museum of Glass by casually when passing by the village. I didn't know that this was the biggest museum of glass in the world! I loved it. There's more than 50 thousand glass objects. There's plenty to see and to learn about. Some pieces are over 3,500 years old, and some collections are just stunning! There's also some interesting and interactive projects. The place is very well kept, organized, and clean. A plus: the store is amazing!
This museum was such an amazing stop on our way to Niagara Falls. Everyone enjoyed from toddler to adult. The sandblasting class additional fee was a lot of fun and the glasses came out beautiful. Our three year old even designed her own. I'd highly recommend. The cafeteria offered a wide variety of foods and was clean and fast. We look forward to visiting again.
Beautiful place to spend time with family to see some amazing glass work. They have superb crockery and gifts . Corelli Crockery was worth to buy . They have amazing pieces of glass and crystal from different artists. The place have baby care restroom which I have not seen at many places , since I have infant with me so It was a bless. They have shows where they give live demo of making of glass pieces.
