Jeff, a staff member is great. He knows a lot about the animals and is happy to share. The lectures they give are good and entertaining. But: some of the habitats could be better, looks like they need to adapt it so they are happier and more comfortable, some animals looked sad. The zone where the tigers lecture is given needs a roof cause it was painful to be sitting under the sun. I heard they cut the ligaments of the birds so they cannot fly away, I don’t know if that’s true.
It's small and intimate. It's clean and very nice. They have all the animals situated so you can see them while they stay cool and rest. The were fun and make sure you all see the birds because there are like 4 purple ones that are breathtaking and flirty. The young alpacas are very hungry so get some apples at the front so you can feed them. Enjoy your day.
Pretty good zoo! Been coming here over the last 20 years. I do wish some of the animals had better/bigger/more enriching enclosures. I don't mind that its a small zoo one bit though, and they have a nice selection of animals.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
A small but yet nice zoo. The tigers were absolutely beautiful, the deers were also nice to feed. We purchased a cut of apples, and our 2 year old toddler enjoyed feeding the deers. The cougar was having a nice nap, but the lemurs put on quite a show climbing and jumping around. The wolves were lazily walking around, but with the heat you cannot really expect something else.
This is a very small zoo and the enclosures are pretty small for the size of the animals, which I felt pretty sad, especially for the tigers and lemurs. I enjoyed the parrots the most as they had them all outside with shaded perches. We were able to see everything in under an hour. The staff were friendly and there was free parking.
One of the coolest zoo's in Washington! Absolutely beautiful and filled with loads of learning and fun for all ages! Great area outdoors with tables and chairs for eating, so bring a lunch! This zoo is Not packed at all, it is so much more personal, staff is extremely friendly and kind. They have so many Learning experiences through out the day as well as an art exhibit to check out! Cool animals! And You can purchase food to feed some of the animals which is a nice fun extra adventure! The birds sing and talk which is so cool! All the animals are well loved and taken care of too!
First time here. Took maybe 40 minutes at a relaxed pace to look at all the animals. Paid extra for apple treats but the alpacas and reindeer were the only animals you could feed right now. Definitely prefer giving my money to a small zoo that's doing their best than the big ones that could do better and don't. While it's nothing large and crazy. It's a smaller and calmer environment. Great for small children or people that want to see some interesting animals and not fight crowds for a view of them.
Very small zoo, cost $16 to enter and I took the whole thing in 15 minutes. The zoo opens at 9:30 on weekends but you can only see half of it before 10:00. It's fairly cheap to enter, bit extremely small. One tiger was Pacing up and down, which generally means they are anxious, but you get that in most zoos. Clean, clearly well funded. Good for very young kids. The Meerkat exhibition was closed
Great little zoo. You can tell they care about their animals and keeping the zoo appearance looking great. I especially enjoyed seeing all the beautiful birds. I look forward to seeing it after the expansion they have planned.
Love this place. It’s the perfect zoo to get in and out easily when you have young kids. The exhibits are well maintained and the staff is very knowledgeable!Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
