I am not a complainer at all. i have never written a letter or asked for the manager or anything like that. I just feel compelled to share my info because of what happend to me and my love on our weekend getaway. So i get to this hotel in the afternoon get my keys and leave to go to captiva for dinner and a sunset cruise recommed it highly..the cruise that is. Had a geat time by the way...anyway i get back to the hotel and go up to my room , as soon as i walked in i could smell the musty odor of the room. Ok well it sucked but i figured i would deal with it. Un pack get comfortable and head to the shower... when i got to the shower i turned it on and the water trickled out..... like uhh damn. i called down to the front desk and they said alot of there rooms had a water pressure problem so i ask to be moved to a room with better water pressure, so they told me to come down and get the new key..so i did. Gathered all of my stuff and moved rooms. Again i walked in and it was musty.... anyway the same problem was happening. by this time it was 10 30 at night. i called down to the desk and told them that it was still happening. i asked the guy "Angel" at the front desk why didnt they tell me when i checked in? and he said "We thought it woud be fixed already"...that type of thing you should know when you pay for the room. So i said to him at 1045 at night that i really hope that they give me a break on the room since there was no water keep in mind no water = no toilet flushing either and he says to me with a smurk behind it "Just like my home if the water is out there You dont get a refund"....I was quiet.. then he says "so you have 2 choices Either stay till the morning , or i can leave the hotel now and i can refund you your money"....at 1045 at night to repack all my stuff and head out to some other hotel and what get in by 11 30 +.OMG that was it, i have never been so insulted in my life.. it was basically like it or leave. I said WTF are you serious is this how you treat someone who had stayed there like a bunch of times ..the F in WTF slipped..my bad. Then Angel says you know what leave my hotel now...i didnt know if he was seriuos...i said Are you kicking me out? he says yes now leave before i call the police.. so i left at 11pm to find some hotel to stay at. I have been staying at that hotel for a long time it used to be much cleaner and cheaper and friendlier. In Fact when i left there was a Mariott Residense inn 2 blks away behind the hess, OMG for $10 more it was a blessing. it seriously looked like a room from one of the comericals. Brand new and Super Clean......i dont really care where you stay i just wanted to let you know what was up from traveler to traveler. I hope this helps someone out
