I stayed at this hotel for accomodations and I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were the staff accommodating but the facility was just convenient in a number of ways. I used the pool and found it satisfactory. The mall was nearby and breakfast was good. This Marriott made a clear effort to be accommodating. They even had board games available for the guests. You actually feel like a guest here. I hear the Renaissance is nice too. Walkability: The mall was walking distance.
The hotel was older but very well kept up. Amazing staff! Doug at the front desk was so helpful and looked after our little group of seniors as if we were family. Loved the Bistro and the wait staff there as well. Five star service! The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in years. I may go back just for a good nights sleep!
We stayed for 6 nights and it felt like home. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of. From the front desk, cleaning crew, and especially the restaurant, they are top notch!Rooms: 4/5
Whatever you do Don’t stay here. Our truck was stolen from handicapped parking space. Not just broken in to- ENTIRELY STOLEN! It literally happened right next To the office. We parked in the first space by main entrance. They have videos of it. Filed police Report and that’s it.. we find a ride home with no vehicle and they excused themselves taking no responsibility saying they are not liable. Really makes me think the hotel staff are in on the theft as well. Photo of where we parked.
When we arrived there was no coffee pot or blow dryer in the at the "Fairfield" room. Asked the front desk for them, they got me the coffee pot. blow dryer didn't come until day 3. I was there 5 days . But ALL staff was pleasant and fun to talk to. It felt like they were family. Ashley and Danelle were great. Courtyard . and the one girl I didn't get her name. She was at the front desk. What I really didn't like was there was no-where for smoking, I had to sit on the curb and keep watching all my surroundings. then, Thursday night Ashley let me know that I could go to the courtyard to smoke. I was staying at the Fairfield side of your sister company. That made me feel more comfortable, But it took till Thursday the day before I was leaving to find this out. I know people don't like smoking, but they're things I don't like either but I have to deal with them. So help us out too. Everyone has rights. Let's play nice.
Absolutely one of the kindest and most helpful staffs I have ever encountered. I highly recommend this place to everyone traveling into San Antonio Texas. Slept great and enjoyed my stay immensely. Rooms: How clean it was. Nearby activities: Restaurants and mall. Walkability: Restaurants very near in walking distance. Noteworthy details: Quite, clean and comfortable.
Definitely a great place, the room was nice and clean, the staff is amazing, front desk was helpful and Mary Jane was really attentive she made great drinks and gave great advice to where would be a great places to go in San Antonio, had a great birthday weekend.Rooms: 5/5

Doug and Stacy are amazing and made my stay perfect!! Rooms need an update, they're a few years outdated. Lobby is very pleasant and espresso is perfect, with 2 sugars Rooms: Rooms are spacious but a few years outdated.
Rooms are a little dated but we're clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were amazing and made the stay 5 stars worthy. The cook was outstanding, every front desk person was helpful and went above and beyond.Rooms: 4/5
