Ordered corn beef with an egg and a side of biscuits and gravy. Husband got the breakfast burrito. Prices are a bit expensive. Big portions though. Maybe cut the portions in half and slice the prices by half too. I'm a biscuits and gravy girl ... Out of 5 stars I give theirs a 2 gravy was a little salty and made with a lighter colored sausage. Biscuits were so smothered I couldn't tell if they were flakey or not. Its close to our house....that's about all that's awesome.
The world needs more wonderful places like The Crane Hollow Cafe. Like going back in time to a quaint country Cafe that makes everything from scratch with pride & love. Cinnamon roll was perfect and the green chilli breakfast bowl might be the best breakfast I've had in years. Staff was great, kid friendly and located in one of the best cycling areas in central Colorado. Yum!
Amazing food. very lovely service `:- if you want to eat better than you'd cook at home, this is it. And I can cook
Delicious food. Good price. Friendly service throughout meal. They had a 'good morning' ready to go as soon as we walked in. I would definitely come here again and recommend it to my friends. I got the veggie scramble with goat cheese and it was plenty along with yummy. My fiance got the eggs Benedict and enjoyed those too.
I've been going to this restaurant for the last few years and specifically I'm one of the only ethnic faces in the restaurant. Every time I have gone in the food is great but, the service is awful. Today the waitress wouldn't even give me a refill and people seated after us got their drinks before myself and children. So do I think that in a restaurant whose demographic is predominately white, has an effect on the service I receive? Yes I do think that , whether their staff is aware or not. It's not malicious; more, petty. I'm pretty sure the staff thought a stereotype of me that they wouldn't get a tip when I tip better than most. In fact the awful waitress still got 6.00 tip on a 30.00 tab because I work SIN. I hope her boss takes it for the chef instead. After trying for several years to support them I no longer will as their wait staff is inattentive with exception to the older woman on the weekdays, though not sure she's there and again, seems to be okay with prioritizing Caucasian people, who arrive after me. It's not okay and I work in the service industry. They had 3 waiters for a very small place so, maybe if the 3 can't handle a Saturday, in terms of true customer service, hire better wait staff so that your chef and back staff, don't lose money.
This place is a mixed bag - it has a cute, rustic charm and friendly staff, but our server complained three times that she was "so busy!" when there were only 12 I counted after complaint number two other people in the restaurant. I had the chorizo hash which tasted great, but my eggs that I ordered over-medium came out with completely cooked solid yolks. I'd give a 4 or 5 star review, but eggs being completely overcooked and it taking 30 minutes to get a simple breakfast plate knock this place down into "average and nothing exceptional" status for me.
GREAT FOOD! I had the Green Chili Smothered Burger and my wife had the smothered Green Chili bean burrito both smothered in fresh green lettuce and tomatoes. The green chilies aren’t over powering which I like. Great flavors. I will be back! If your looking for a fast food joint with wait staff that sees through you this ain’t it. Each meal is prepared separately and there’s a lot of love in those vittles. Keep it up ladies. The Houston Couple.
Loved the homey vibe and friendly staff! The food was delicious and we appreciated the chef's flexibility and veg options. The restaurant runs at a very leisurely pace, so I wouldn't stop if your short on time, but with the warm atmosphere and gorgeous artwork check out the gallery next door it's a great spot for breakfast! Shoutout to Nancy for being a great waitress :
Heading back to Denver from Estes park found this place on google maps that wasn’t too far from the highway. Food was very good. Definitely recommend the eggs Benedict and the biscuits and gravy. Service was very friendly. Nice little cozy breakfast joint.
Fantastic quaint cafe that treats you like family. The atmosphere is so inviting and the sun coming through the windows is so cozy and beautiful view of the mountains. All of the staff work their tails off and are so friendly. The amount of food you get for the price is so great and the food gets out to you quickly. There are many gluten free and vegetarian options which I appreciate. You can substitute egg whites and add veggies to any dish. The baked goods are delicious and they have the best chai latte I've ever tasted!
